@Nickyshearsby22 Finally, the book is proofread. This means that any remaining spelling or typing mistakes are removed, and that the finished product is as perfect as it can be ready for printing.

@Nickyshearsby22 Line editing will look at the types of sentences used, the tone or voice of the writing, and trying to make it consistent. Does the writer use a lot of flowery or academic language? Should the writing be light-hearted, or more serious? Is swearing appropriate? Etc.

@Nickyshearsby22 Developmental editing is looking at chapter/scene order, adding new scenes or removing scenes so that the book's plot flows well and so that the book has a structure which makes sense when reading.
