Thanks to the incredible teamwork between Bishop Auckland Police, our team, and @DurhamCouncil , we secured our emergency accommodation for someone homeless, getting them off the streets within an hour. 💙🧡

Our dedicated homeless response teams actively follows up on all notifications from the general public and Street Link regarding anyone experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping in Hartlepool.

We're hearing about the benefits of sleep pods in Teesside and County Durham as the number of rough sleepers rise.

@CornerstoneSH - which have hubs in Hartlepool and Bishop Auckland - say they're purpose-built shelters that are better than tents.

In the last 7 days, we’ve served 70 meals and 146 hot drinks, while our teams supported 81 individuals who came through our doors. Among them, 4 presented as homeless, and we were able to work with @hpoolcouncil to secure them into our emergency accommodation.🧡💙
