So so happy to finally share the last work of my PhD, just in time for conference season! 🎊
Suggestions and comments are more than welcome… and see you next week at @ieeewhc if you are around! ✌🏻 #worldhaptics2023
New #preeprint alert! Reconstruction of single fingerprint ridges deformation under the skin surface during tactile interaction! Led by @CornianiGiulia and with @SuperHannes. Check it out 👇
Excited to share that my first journal paper as a postdoc at @harvardmed's Motion Analysis Lab is out! This pilot study is part of a longitudinal project using ML and wearables to study X-linked dystonia-parkinsonism. Take a look!

What a week last one! I presented my PhD work at @ieeewhc and graduated from @sheffielduni. I truly enjoyed my PhD, mostly thanks to my supervisor @SuperHannes and colleagues/friends of @neutouch. A bit sad this is coming to an end, but science and life will keep us in touch✌🏻
Are you working on touch? Join our workshop, Neuromorphic Technologies for Touch
Perception, at @ieeewhc and present your work in a poster session.
We look forward to meeting you there!

Our workshop "Neuromorphic Haptics - Transitioning From Touch Sensors to Perception." has been accepted for @ieeewhc 2023 (Delft, July 10th).
It will be the final event of @neutouch (🥲), and to celebrate we have a phenomenal lineup of speakers. Stay tuned! ✌️
2000: my very first day as a student
2023: finally, #PhDone ✌️
I couldn't have asked for a better PhD experience, thanks to the invaluable support of my exceptional supervisor @SuperHannes and colleagues at @neutouch and @shefTouch.
Here's to the next one (just a few days away)!
In this new study, these researchers make use of a computer simulation to recreate the population activity of large numbers of tactile neurons and examine how information is spread across different neurons.

🚨IT’S OUT🚨 Super happy to coauthor with @CornianiGiulia a study exploring population coding in human tactile afferents. Paper is now published in @PLOSCompBiol and comments are more than welcome.

🚨IT’S OUT🚨
@mcasal and I explored population coding strategies of human tactile afferents, and the paper is now published in @PLOSCompBiol
Take a look! Comments and thoughts are overly welcome✌️

Curious to see what happens below the skin surface when you #touch objects?
We used Optical Coherence Tomography and quantified the deformation in the skin subsurface.
Don’t miss my poster tomorrow morning (8-12) at #SfN22, I have lots of nice videos to show!✌️Board V10
- Yesterday, I submitted my PhD thesis🥳🤞
- Today marks exactly 3 years since I joined @ShefTouch and started my journey in @neutouch
- In 2 weeks, I will present my work at #SfN on measuring sub-surface skin deformation in vivo and dynamic conditions☝️
What an exciting time!🤩
Block your calendar for 26-29 September! Our Summer School on Technologies for Touch will take place in Arenzano, Italy. Stay tuned for more information! #Robotics#Tactile#SummerSchool
