Farewell old friend. What a woman! Edwina Hannaford - Cornwall Councillor; force of nature; tireless community champion & Looe maid. @CornwallCouncil
We are deeply sad to learn of the passing of Cllr Edwina Hannaford. She worked tirelessly for Cornish residents during her time in Cornwall Council and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with her family at this very sad time

Congratulations @SarahDykeLD!
Somerset has spoken for the country: The public are sick of this Conservative Government taking people for granted.
Millions of people across the country are unable to get an NHS dentist.
Everyone should be able to access an NHS dentist if needed and no-one should be forced to choose between paying hundreds for private care or going without.

For rural areas like Devon, it is often said that you need a car to get around. With the planned ticket office closures, that gets ever more true.
These changes will make travel more difficult for people not just in Devon, but across the country.

Unfortunately there has been another alert for sewage and pollution discharges on Devon's beaches - 20 this week, up from 14 last week, including Beer, Seaton, and Sidmouth. Please take care to check for alerts if you're heading out in the water.

Closing railway ticket offices will directly impact the elderly, disabled and visitors. This morning I helped three people in half an hour while our office was closed - all needed a human!

Filling the vacancies is also a huge problem in Cornwall and particularly in Newquay. Extra training and qualification would be good but it's a drop in the bucket as far the overall crisis is concerned
