The girl is said to be Tizita Masfin Raggasa. She was born and raised in the Bale region of Ethiopia. She is was a Grade 11 student, and is 19 years old.

Like any other student, she was pursuing her education, but while in Grade 11, she dropped out of school to migrate to Arab countries in search of a better future for herself and her family. However, during her journey, she was kidnapped by human traffickers and sold into slavery in Libya.

She is currently enduring severe torture and abuse. She is among those who are suffering alongside Naima Jamal and others who have been subjected to the same brutal treatment.
