@BCWRkittens I personally know someone whose made it his life work to help animals and he said the vet community has the highest suicide rates and there's never any profit. Alot volunteer extra time to care for these animals. It's heartbreaking

At Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary we are disheartened to see the recent rise in negativity directed toward the veterinary community. Having worked alongside many of these professionals for over 20 years, we can attest that the vast majority( not all) are driven by a profound love for animals, not financial gain.

The teams on the front lines—vets, nurses, and receptionists —care deeply for every patient that walks through their doors. It is important to remember that they are often working within systemic constraints beyond their control.

Let’s not forget the incredible sacrifices these teams made during the pandemic: working in full PPE, consulting in the rain and snow, and staying at their practices to ensure our animals were never without care.

They are the backbone of animal welfare. We ask our community to remember that we are all on the same team, working toward the same goal: healthy, happy pets. Let’s trade criticism for compassion.
