@patrol4life@TheSalGreco@j_stern97 Just saying "Hoping those numbers aren't accurate" proves there's a problem with his leadership. Yes, it's troubling to have a member of the NYPD at that rank with so few arrests. Where was he hiding all those years?
I was catching up on some news and came across a short clip of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. People should not speak out in public just because they can. I would recommend learning the topic before you make a fool of yourself.
Ilhan Omar: "This is not what the founding fathers of the American Dream envisioned."
America, the shining beacon of hope and opportunity—let us wake up together and embrace what makes this nation truly exceptional. The United States of America remains the greatest country in the world, a land built on dreams, freedom, and the promise that anyone willing to work hard can build a better life here. There is nothing wrong with people wanting to come to this remarkable nation. In fact, it is a profound compliment to what we have created together. Our strength has always come from those who arrive seeking liberty and a fresh start.
Once here, our shared priority should be to assimilate and fully embrace the American way—the values of liberty, equality under the law, self-reliance, and e pluribus unum: out of many, one. This does not mean erasing your heritage or forgetting where you came from. You are free to honor your traditions, practice your faith, and celebrate your culture in your home and in your communities. That private liberty is part of what makes America beautiful.
What we ask is simple and rooted in deep respect for this land: help keep America as it was intended to be—a sovereign nation of free people, united by our founding principles, our Constitution, and our common love for this country.
To every American—native-born or naturalized—and to every reader who cherishes this nation: thank you for believing in her. Let us move forward with open hearts, clear eyes, and unwavering pride in the United States of America. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
Let’s keep AMERICA beautiful on and beyond its 250th Birthday!!!!
I appreciate your brother's service, especially on 9/11 — that kind of duty deserves real respect. No one here is smearing individuals who earned their promotions through honest work.
That said, this isn’t about anonymous attacks or personal history. It’s about parents doing what we’re supposed to do: protecting our children from making potentially dangerous career decisions in today’s environment. The NYPD remains an incredibly tough job, and right now, with the current administration having shown clear signs of corruption and dysfunction, placing any child — especially a daughter — in harm’s way feels even more concerning.
Real officers who walked the beat for decades often say they wouldn’t want their own kids following the same path. The risks are high, the politics within the department can be brutal, and concerns about nepotism are widespread, whether we like it or not. Encouraging our children into policing should come with eyes wide open, not rose-colored glasses.
We can honor past service while still urging caution for the next generation. Public safety matters, and so does protecting our own kids from unnecessary peril.
@VividProwess Sorry to disappoint you. Those guys are not NYPD cops; they are auxiliary cops with no guns to protect citizens if something were to happen. Playing the perception game with real lives is no joke.
Mr. Eric Sanders, I could not have said it any better than you have. Would you mind if I repost it, giving you full credit? It reflects a true understanding of what is expected of our police officers in today’s society—the same standard we upheld when we were officers ourselves.
Retired NYPD Chief John Chell is eyeing a run for NYC Mayor in 2029.
I’ll only consider supporting him if he’s 100% transparent about the Aug 7, 2008, shooting death of 25-year-old Ortanzso Bovell.
Chell claimed accidental discharge after being struck by the stolen car. But a Brooklyn jury in 2017 rejected that, finding he intentionally shot Bovell (from above and behind per trial evidence), awarding his mother a $2.5M verdict.
If he runs, that video and full case details will come out anyway. Own it, explain it, answer questions directly — or the campaign won’t fly in a city demanding real accountability from leadership.
Transparency first. #Chell2029

"Oh Chief Green, with that sweet $250,000 taxpayer-funded salary, you're really setting the gold standard for the men and women of the NYPD. Nothing says 'professional leadership' quite like showing up in a uniform where your belt looks like it lost a fight with a paper shredder. By all means, keep rocking that 'vintage' look — I'm sure you'd have no problem writing up one of your officers for rolling into roll call with the exact same setup while lecturing them, 'The uniform allowance exists for a reason... use it.' Hypocrisy looks great on you, sir. Really ties the whole outfit together."
"Big congratulations to NYPD Police Officer Grant Pulgarin for his heroic takedown of the Gracie Mansion bomb suspect! In the new video, this 8-year veteran delivered a perfectly executed form tackle on a dangerous ISIS-inspired terrorist who hurled homemade explosives at protesters. Real cops like Officer Pulgarin are the backbone of policing—they run toward danger, never hesitate, and aren't afraid of getting written up. They never stop being real police. Thank you for protecting us!

Captain Julieann Stapleton—straighten your spine, square your shoulders, and show some goddamn respect to the men and women you expect to follow you into harm's way.
You want to lead? Then act like a leader. Stand tall. Plant your feet. Look them in the eye. The uniform you wear demands a backbone, not a slouch. Leaning against walls, slumping in formation, or lounging like you’re waiting for a bus sends one crystal-clear message: weakness.
Every time you let your posture sag, you chip away at the trust you’re asking them to place in you. Every time you fail to set the standard, you give silent permission for others to do the same. That is not leadership—that is surrender.
Lock it up. Chest out. Chin level. Shoulders back. Show the steel you expect your people to carry.
Honor the uniform. Honor the rank. Honor the people who wear it beside you.
Stand like you mean it, Captain. Because right now, you don’t look like you do.
@nickysmokess There's a lot of that going on in many police departments. Don't forget the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting. I have documented about 5 years of the Matthews, NC Police Department. https://t.co/XjdSe5oyVX https://t.co/FKL3R8VobK

This didn't work out too well for you, did it, Mr. "Future of the Democratic Party"?
Eric Adams swaggered into City Hall in 2022, promising to be the bold, no-nonsense CEO of the largest city in America—crime fighter, economic savior, the next big thing. Four years later?
Federal indictment for bribery and corruption (dismissed only after cozying up to Trump).
Approval rating cratered to a historic low of 20% (worse than any mayor in nearly 30 years of polling).
A revolving door of scandals: top advisers indicted or resigning in disgrace, NYPD cronies imploding, and a mass exodus of deputy mayors.
The migrant crisis he warned would "destroy New York City" overwhelmed resources while he blamed everyone but his own mismanagement.
Overall, crime is mixed at best—shootings are down in spots, but total incidents are up, serious traffic injuries are at record highs, and New Yorkers are feeling less safe despite the hype.
You failed spectacularly on your own, Mr. Adams. No one to blame but that endless swagger, the loyalty to corrupt insiders, and the desperate pivot to MAGA when the walls closed in. New York deserved better than a one-term disaster who buried his "achievements" in a time capsule while the city buried him in rejection.
Good riddance.
