Tonight I learned about Wanda Diaz Merced, the blind astronomer. It is crazy how something so visual can also be equally represented with audio. I also love how she made the comment “science belongs to everyone.”

I got the opportunity to observe the moon with my binoculars on National Observe the Moon Day!! It was so bright tonight and the craters were extremely visible. It is amazing to me that someone like Galileo could understand that they were craters with just his eyes.🌘💫 @DorOKSG

Tonight I used Planets. In the app the stars in the constellations were connected and labeled. My favorite part of tonight was looking at the moon, it looked so cool through the binoculars! I also got to see the Great Square of Pegasus that was covered in the book. @DorOKSG

Tonight I used Star Walk 2. On the app I could see a visually pleasing representation of the constellations. Star Walk 2 is more engaging than GoSkyWatchPlanetarium, but both are great and informative. Tonight I saw Uranus and the constellations Aries and Hercules. @DorOKSG

I went stargazing and I used the app GoSkyWatchPlanetarium. In the app I could see which constellations were visible in the sky wherever I moved the iPad. While stargazing, I saw the planets Jupiter and Saturn! I also got to see the constellations Vega and Theta Ceti. @DorOKSG
