1/ California released fraud enforcement numbers today: 280+ hospice licenses revoked, 300 more under investigation, 109 individuals charged.
Real accountability matters — and these numbers show what's possible when states take action.

2/ But here's the problem: when California froze hospice licenses, some operators just reapplied as home health agencies. Hospice Medicare enrollments dropped from 500 to 17. Home health apps stayed above 300.
That's the whack-a-mole problem — and it's why federal and state enforcement have to work together.
