@mrmarkmillar Really fascinating how you use a cult’s proprietary language to dehumanize people while in the same breath calling for people to be nice only to the guys you like.
@LorenzoSleestak@KRCompanion@RobKuro85 It just seems so funny to me how much these dudes all publicly proclaim that their free-thinking ways are the correct course, all the while completely simping for their perceived leader. Even if they do genuinely believe this stuff, why pledge allegiance? It’s spineless.
@KRCompanion@LorenzoSleestak@RobKuro85 I really don’t care how much the dude makes good on his crowdfunding (sounds like he’s pretty remiss overall) but if you care about seeming like a free thinker you gotta stop ending every comment with the cheersbud thing. It’s very cultish. It makes you look weak. Are you weak?
@Subimaginati@GailSimone Actually that brings up a pertinent issue—do you expect we’ll see a change in this now that so many publishers have jumped from Diamond?
@SethJacob It’s a bunch of whiny dudes who have fetishized their own nostalgia of 90s comics—big muscles, big guns, small heads, cheesecake women, violence.
@SethJacob My understanding based on about a million cloned replies by now is that they seem to want “activist” writers to stop writing themselves in the skin of the character they’re writing. No matter that almost all writers do this to some degree. They’re all just homo- or transphobic.
@subtledeviancy@JosephGlass Do you have actual proof of this conveniently simple explanation for a complex economic issue or is it just your mantra to make yourself feel better?
@Subimaginati@GailSimone I don’t want to take up too much of your time, but is there an article about that I can read or a search term that would get me there? I’m endlessly interested in this stuff.
