Well, it's time for a roster update. This Friday will be my last day @PsyonixStudios
It's bittersweet but the last 5.5 years have truly been life changing. I've been fortunate to help lead @RLEsports into what it is today and I got to work my dream job in esports.
Nine and a half years later, and my time with Psyonix and Epic has come to an end. ⚽🏎️
Thanks to those who have reached out already ❤️ Don't worry, I'll be ok. I'm going to enjoy some well-deserved downtime for now.
Quick professional update: I've officially transitioned over to a role on the Rocket League marketing team. It's been a move we've been working on since last year, and I can't think of a better send off event than the World Championship in Düsseldorf.
@ian_nowakowski I will never forget your interview where we spent the entire walk back after lunch talking about a podcast for RL Esports, then along came FT.
I can't express my thanks for your support, love and passion you put into RL Esports. You're gonna kill it in marketing BROTHER ♥️
Some great people at Psyonix and Epic were let go today. If you're hiring in production, community, marketing, or really any gamedev roles, I have some great folks I can vouch for
Jake and I started in esports together and he has been along with me on this ride for almost 8 years now. I owe so much to him.
Jake IS Rocket League Esports. He is the blood that keeps the heart of our esports community beating. He is truly the unsung hero of the RLCS and has done so much to bring it to what it is today.
He is easily the best, most hard-working, and genuinely kind person I know.
This one hurt the most.
I’m proud to say I’ve had a hand in @RLEsports spanning back to RLCS Season 4 as an Open Qualifier Match Admin, leading up to today as an Esports Product Manager.
But, along with many other amazing folks at Epic Games, I was laid off today.
Heartbroken to type this out, but I was affected by the Epic layoffs today.
I’m so proud of the work I did at Psyonix and Epic. I had some of the most life changing experiences.
I’m looking for work effective immediately in social media, marketing, and talent management.
Just an awful, heartbreaking day.
Ton of people gone from Epic that deserve a role at the best companies out there. Please reach out to them with any opportunities you might have.
Truly some of the best people in the industry.
I've got some big news (for me, at least): Starting today, I'm stepping away from the Rocket League Esports team for an opportunity to work directly on the Rocket League game itself and to contribute towards its future at Psyonix/Epic.
I've been focused on building Rocket League Esports for almost 8 years now, from running online weeklies from my bedroom, to redesigning the RLCS from the ground-up. I've gone from city to city to see our amazing fanbase grow, and I've seen so many deserving players I love as people become genuine superheroes. I'm proud to have seen the esport develop in ways I never could have imagined.
A true accomplishment when building anything is being able to walk away from it knowing it'll continue to thrive without you. I'm so appreciative of what this esport has given me, and I'm confident this thing we've all created will continue evolving.
Above everything, I'll miss working with all of the wonderful people in our esport, but I'm thankful I still get to be involved with Rocket League's amazing community. I'm incredibly excited about the opportunity of having a bigger impact on the game itself. Lots to learn, but the passion I have for Rocket League is stronger than ever.
Thank you everyone!
This was a hard one to process. I’ve known Cory the entire time I’ve been working on Rocket League and this esport owes so much to him.
On the bright side, our friendship will last well past any work we’ve done together.
Gonna consider this just a new beginning. Love you man ♥️
For me, I'll be taking a few weeks off and taking on some new challenges at Amazon as a Senior Product Manager of Tech in October.
It'll be a huge step for me but I'm excited to get back into a full focused dev role.
Love y'all and take care of one another ✌️♥️

The esports squad at Psyonix is filled with some of the best in the industry, and no other team has ever worked harder to build something we all believed in.
I'm sad that I'll be leaving them a man down, but I know they'll bring another electrifying year of esports to RL.
@Azfura You won’t ever know until you’re in it tbh. I dropped out of college and somehow landed here.
I was someone who said “im gonna be a neuroscientist” but generally what you think you want in college never works out.
Just be open minded and be kind, and you’ll stick the landing.
