@resilientAvery @partrician1 @CHISALOVEBOT@DreTop1a Umm some sects of Judaism have a child brides problem and just recently in the news a Jewish university in the US refused to allow lgbtq+ people to attend. So yeah ALL organized religion sucks.
@MaxieMoosie I think a lot of appearance creep factors are related to things like that. A sort of unconscious check list of all the traits that offenders that they've seen in the news have. It doesn't help that so many autistic men have fallen into the Incel/alt-right crowd.
@MaxieMoosie imo some of the appearance ones are (unfortunately partly true) stereotypes based on the pictures and mugshots of caught rapists/stalkers/etc. Unkept hair can indicate lack of hygiene which CAN be a sign of hard drug use (mainly meth where I am). 1/2
Swabbing correctly for #COVID19? Most are not. @IamKGB tests—
1) VERY POS—back of throat, cheeks, roof of mouth & both nasopharyngeal w swab held in place for 10s.
2) NEG—outside portion of nostrils
3) NEG—anterior nares/nasal septum
4) FAINT POS—throat & cheeks
5) Repeated #1
@AcrossParents @missjules666 @thenameishyde Because your child knows you as well as you know them, so they KNOW when their parent is transphobic. Kids aren't stupid; they pick up on little transphobic comments and they know when someone isn't safe.
@TheAshleyClem Millennials are now getting gray hair, and still can't afford to live in a house like their spoiled brat boomer parents, my mom genuinely thinks I live in a tiny apartment just to spite her now, she keeps showing me houses in the city, like "I don't have ten million krones mom."
When people suggest you should be over your traumatic experiences because “It was a long time ago” let them know your brilliant brain & body registered that experience because it changed your survival. And your brilliant brain & body are looking for safety, not uninformed advice.
"Yeah I may have this condition that impairs my ability to function, but I'm not disabled! Because there are people who have it worse than me and to call myself disabled would be offensive and rude to them by minizing what they suffer from"
Babes that's literally ableism
"I would /immediately/ break up with my partner if they came out as trans" is an anti-trans statement, but not because you have to be attracted to all genders. People getting that message are misunderstanding what it means to be trans. (🧵)
NPD abuse isn’t a thing and the obsession with it has made disabled people unsafe even when they do their best and mind their own. I know folks with NPD and as a fellow pder I feel so much agony on their behalf.
Your abuser didn’t have NPD, they weren’t undiagnosed BPD, STOP.
🍷: Okay, someone shared these two diagrams with me, and I'm going to explain why they are the exact same cycle. (Coming back to this later in the day, but I wanted to mention this now while the thread is going around so I can link it there lol.)
🍷: (This thread was branched off from my other post, but the point is that "narcissistic abuse" isn't real and you can just call it abuse because it's the same thing, as described above.)
