FLYCRAFT
I added a real fly’s brain into Minecraft — and now she can actually play alongside real players.
You can watch her brain react and neurons fire in real time. The colored signals represent 24,000 neurons with known functions, grouped into 133 real neural populations.
Blue is vision, yellow is smell, orange is taste, teal controls the wings, green controls the legs, light blue represents touch and body sense, and purple represents descending motor commands.
Players can approach her, interact with her, scare her, block her path, or move around her — and she reacts in real time.
Poke her and watch what happens: your breath raises CO₂ → she smells it → yellow neurons activate → she decides to flee → turns to escape → then you see the massive light-blue sensory burst.
She isn’t just running inside Minecraft.
She is experiencing the players around her.
This is FLYCRAFT.
GPT Astra made the best Minecraft clone ever.
I ran it through my usual Minecraft test. One prompt, one shot, single HTML file.
The result is absolutely crazy.
I’ve run this exact prompt on basically every major model. Fable, Sol, Grok, Gemini, Qwen, GLM, everything.
Astra is on another level here.
I spent a while just playing around with it trying to figure out how much it had actually built. There is an absurd amount of stuff in this game.
I have never seen anything like this from this test. Ever.
This is the best result I’ve gotten and it’s not even close.
