.@Chevron illegally denied my ADA claims and refused to allow me any access to the office for multiple months because I would not get vaccinated. I was born with a heart deformation and have flatlined twice because of it. I provided @Chevron written documentation from doctors showing that the increased risk for myocarditis from the vaccine with my heart condition posed an undue and unreasonable risk. I provided CDC published papers showing my natural immunity from prior covid infection provided 4.75x better protection than vaccination against reinfection and asymptomatic transmission. I had phone calls with the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Chevron describing these ADA violations. Obviously she was completely incompetent and only cared about racial topics as she told me that birth defects are not a covered class and she couldn’t do anything. I sent her all of the ADA laws showing birth defect are clearly and 100% expressly covered and she still refused to do anything.

I was 1 of only 3 or 4 people coming into the office every day for over a year while everyone else worked from home. An extremely liberal senior management woman from California randomly came to the Houston office one week. I was sitting alone at my desk in a nearly empty 30,000 sq/ft trade floor without a mask on as I was drinking a soda. She felt like it was appropriate to walk over 500ft, physically grab me, spin my chair around, and berate me for not wearing a mask. The insanity of thinking masks mattered for safety but unsolicited and unwanted physical contact was acceptable shows that the entire interaction was about intimidation and politics, not safety. Later that week, the same woman manager video called me on teams to berate me about masks again. When I asked a simple question about ADA procedures, she blew up on me and said she would fire me for safety violations and that there is zero reason to not get vaccinated or wear masks.

I was the most profitable individual trader in the entire company. (a team of 3 people in London had a combined PNL slightly higher than mine) The book I had taken over and built out made 3x more money in a single month than it had ever made in the entire history of the company.

When I finally had an offer at a respected trade shop, I sent a formal email to Chevron mgmt and legal saying I was uncomfortable with their illegal actions regarding vaccines and ADA and that I wanted to discuss separation agreements. Instead of starting discussions, they immediately shut down my computer access and refused to negotiate separation agreements. Chevron “stole” well over $500k of guaranteed bonuses I should’ve been paid out just a few months from then.

I had multiple other colleagues in Chevron that I explained my situation to. Almost all of them agreed with me and supported my views but told me they couldn’t do anything because they were afraid of retaliation from left wing senior mgmt.

I would rather die free, than live as a slave. I mean that sincerely. I would rather die than ever let someone take away any control of my body or mind. I had this direct conversation with my wife before I decided to take actions that I knew would destroy my career at Chevron. I would never change the choices I made.

As Fauci pleads the 5th today, never forget the evil actions that he and majority of authority figures committed during that time. Remember the freedoms and opportunities they stole from you.

Prosperitymaxxing 101:

1. Starting a business should take days, not a cousin in the ministry.

2. Taxes should be simple enough that honest people can pay them without hiring three experts.

3. Energy has to be reliable, affordable, and abundant. No factory, clinic, cold room, or school runs on speeches.

4. Hiring should not feel like adopting a legal problem for life.

5. Property has to be protected, especially from people with connections.

6. Courts should enforce legit contracts fast enough that trust can move beyond family.

7. Trade should move. If every border crossing becomes a punishment, local producers stay local and poor.

8. Government should stop picking winners. Customers are better judges than ministers.

Boring? Maybe.

But this is how countries get rich: ordinary people build, compete, hire, and keep going without begging for permission.

This may sound like antiquated philosophy until you take it personally.

Your existence is downstream of their decisions. Most of them you cannot thank. Many you cannot even name. They are gone.

Ahead of you are people who do not yet exist—grandchildren you will not meet, great-grandchildren you cannot even imagine, and remote descendants whose names you will never know but whose possibilities you are already shaping.

And in the middle, here, in this exact present moment: you.

The healthy response to the past is reverence. The healthy response to the future is responsibility.

Together they form what Emory researchers found is one of the strongest predictors of resilience in children: a clear sense of belonging to something larger than one generation. They called it the intergenerational self.

The pathological alternative is to live as if you are the end of the story. To consume what was built for you and leave nothing behind. To treat your life as a self-contained unit rather than a link in a chain.

Most people live like the end of the story. Builders live like the middle of one.
