@HMRCcustomers Hello, I have created a https://t.co/qBOrAH35gV One Login for my Personal Tax Account and verified my identity using the https://t.co/qBOrAH35gV app. Since yesterday I have been getting this error when trying to access my account. I tried again today and same error
@HMRCcustomers I want to have my personal gov account like everyone. 😳 I want to make a self assessment … but I don’t think I have to do something specific to create my personal account. I think we all can have our personal account, correct? 😒
@HMRCcustomers I already contacted technical team multiple times. Every time they say: We know about this issue and we will fixing soon, but we can’t give you timescale. …. It’s already 2-3 weeks… 🙄
@HMRCcustomers I have been trying for over a week to create an HMRC Government Gateway account. I have contacted support via chat and phone multiple times, and I am always told that the identity verification issue will be resolved soon so I can proceed.
@HMRCcustomers However, nothing has been fixed yet.
How am I supposed to open an account if you do not allow me to complete the process? I keep being told there is no timescale and that the issue will be resolved shortly.
@HMRCcustomers Yes, but when I click on that, it should have shown me the option to choose two out of UK Driving Licence, UK Passport, and Security Question. However, after I click, I immediately get an error. I don’t even see the three options.
@HMRCcustomers I followed the standard process by selecting “Create sign in details” and completing my personal information. However, when I reached the step to confirm my identity, I selected the option “Enter details about your documents and records online.”
@HMRCcustomers No, I’m not receiving a message saying “your details don’t match what we hold.” It just says that I meet their criteria, but that I need to verify my identity.
@HMRCcustomers I try to create a HMRC account and after I complete my name, date of birth & national insurance number, it says I have to confirm my identity. I choose to confirm my identity with driving license and security questions but it says I can’t because is maintenance.
@HMRCcustomers Yes, I do have the necessary documents to verify my identity. I have a UK driving licence and I’m also able to answer security questions. However, I don’t get that far — before I can choose between UK driving licence, passport, or security questions, I already receive that error.
@HMRCcustomers Sorry, we do not have enough options available to confirm your identity This could be because: you cannot choose the credit reference option because you are under 18 some options are unavailable due to scheduled maintenance or technical issues
