@hispanicnomad That's why I say - Americans don't know how good they've got it.
New iPhone - about $1,000, which would be about tenth of many people's salaries if you're making 100k per year.
For people elsewhere, it's closer to 30-40% of a monthly salary.
It shows you how little the people who make laws regarding tech actually know about tech.
You can already block sensitive content, and set screen time passwords (different from phone password) to blur all sensitive content.
You can set up a child account that has most protections on by default.
Perhaps it's a parenting issue. The tools are there, they're just not being used.
@dimeji_csv@ukhomeoffice These devices literally have the option to create a child account that has most if not all of these settings turned on to block pornographic/sensitive content.
It's not a manufacturer problem, it's a parenting issue.
@ukhomeoffice Are you retarded?
Create a child account, then most of these features are already enabled by default. Set a screen time password, and that will prevent sensitive content from being viewed as well.
@SLKVinyl It's why I recently switched over to macOS. Got myself a Mac Mini M4 24GB (before the AI rush), since I did the math, and realised that it actually works out cheaper in the long run, especially when you take into account trade-in discounts.
@glukianoff That's is why you measure air speed.
You can also scale it up. The earth is spinning but the air is rotating with it, thus we don't feel it. Then the earth is orbiting the sun, which is orbiting the black hole, which is orbiting something else.
@wokal_distance Which is dumb. They can instead base the tax on the number of properties (homes) in the city, and how much of these services each home uses.
Total cost of services ÷ number of homes (adjusted based on how much of the services each home uses) = annual property tax.
People use words → AI learns to mimic us → AI detection tools learn to detect AI's use of words, which it learned from us → people now have to change how they write to NOT sound like themselves → AI learns to use these new phrases too...
It's a cycle that's going to result in us being able to use fewer and fewer transition words, adjectives, or noun phrases.
Although, some AI models do love the phrase "gets to the heart of" when you ask follow-up questions.
How do they not see that the USA wouldn't have companies worth trillions of dollars if these investors knew beforehand that the government would 'seize' 50% of their companies and profits.
How dumb must one be to not realise that nobody would willingly start businesses in such an environment when other options exist?
You would simply cause:
1. A complete market crash - people would lose fortunes.
2. A chilling effect on investors and innovation - why would anyone invest when partial. nationalisation will take 50% of their profits?
3. Existing AI companies to just leave.
4. Corruption and fraud (government)
5. Economic stagnation
Bernie, you'd be the worst thing that could ever happen to the USA, and I wish you NEVER become anything more than you are now, which is just an annoying grumpy old hunchback man.
