A distinguished Indian delegation comprising more than 60 Indian Recruiting Agents, led by the Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Moscow, along with Consul General Ms. Neelam Rani and Protector of Emigrants, Chennai, Sh. Rajkumar M., participated in India-Russia roundtable titled “Russia–India: Sectoral Demand and Experience of Recruitment from Visa-Regime countries” during the 10th St. Petersburg International Labour Forum held at Expoforum, Saint Petersburg.
The session witnessed active participation from the Government of the Russian Federation including Mr. Vasily Ponidelko, Chairman of the Committee on Labour and Employment, St. Petersburg; Ms. Olga Androsova, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg; Mr. Roman Solovyov, Chairman of the Committee on Labour and Employment, Ivanovo Region; along with representatives from various Russian companies and government organizations.
During the discussion, speakers emphasized Russia’s growing workforce requirements and highlighted India’s immense potential to bridge the labour gap through its skilled and youthful workforce. Both sides underlined the significance of skill mobility, targeted training, to enable smooth workforce integration.
India’s strong demographic dividend was acknowledged as a valuable asset in meeting Russia’s expanding labour force demands.

IPEPCIL participated in the UP Industry Connect Mumbai 2026, engaging in a closed-door meeting with Hon’ble Minister Shri Anil Rajbhar, Principal Secretary Dr. Shanmuga Sundaram IAS, Smt. Neha Prakash, IAS, Shri Pramod Kumar Kundy, and Shri Atul kumar Gupta from the Department of Labour & Employment, Government of Uttar Pradesh to discuss expanding overseas employment opportunities for workers from UP.
The dialogue focused on ethical recruitment, skill development, and strengthening global workforce mobility and digitisation of Rojgar Sangam portal with the stake holders of IPEPCIL member fraternity.
Both side agreed to work towards a MOU to enhance structured global mobility pathways and industry participation, paving the way for greater International employment opportunities for skilled youth from the state.

Indian Personnel Export Promotion Council participated in the Workshop on Training & Capacity Building for Overseas Recruitment Consultants organized by the OE & PGE Division of the Ministry of External Affairs at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan.
The workshop highlighted key initiatives to strengthen the Emigration Clearance (EC) framework, address illegal recruitment in cyberspace, and enhance transparency and compliance in overseas employment.
IPEPCIL continues to work closely with the Government of India to promote ethical recruitment and ensure safe migration for Indian workers worldwide.
