Mohammed Yousef Ahmed al-Sakani (ID#: 804664639, age 30), a driver and logistics worker for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad-affiliated al-Quds Today TV channel, was a deputy platoon commander in PIJ's central military media unit in the Gaza Brigade. al-Sakani, who is listed by the CPJ on its roster of journalists and media workers killed in Gaza, died in a July 2024 drone strike.
Gazan football player Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Abu al-Atta (ID#: 802500777, age 34), whose death alongside his family in a June 2024 airstrike was reported worldwide, including by Reuters, was a deputy platoon commander in the rocket unit of PIJ's Gaza Brigade. 🧵
Fadi Mohammed Hassan Saqr (ID#: 801467747, age 37), the principal of the Moaz bin Jalal Elementary School for Boys in Shujaiyya, was a deputy platoon commander in PIJ's financial administration unit within the Gaza Brigade. Saqr was killed in an October 2023 strike.
NEW | A Hezbollah rocket attack on northern Israel on June 7 is threatening to completely collapse the ceasefire in the Middle East. Israel responded to the Hezbollah attack by conducting an airstrike in Beirut’s southern suburbs. Iran responded with a missile attack designed to deter future Israeli attacks against Hezbollah while avoiding escalation into a resumption of full-scale war. (1/5)

An Israeli airstrike on a tent in Gaza City earlier today killed 7 people, including at least three PIJ commanders: Abdullah Riyad Qaddoum (high-ranking, potentially the Gaza Brigade commander), Farhat Zuheir Harara, and Mohammed Attia Abu Afash. 🧵
🧵An IDF strike on Al-Awda Mosque in Gaza on Dec 5, 2023 was covered in global media as an illegal attack on a religious site, killing 4 civilian Darabieh brothers. But Hamas admitted that one, Amhed Darabieh was a Qassam fighter. Others were likely combatants too. Details: 1/
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk on UPA military unit naming crisis with Ukraine:
At this point the entire responsibility lies with the Ukrainian side to somehow heal this completely unnecessary situation.
Misinformation: Elizabeth, do you speak Hebrew? Did you listen to the IDF commander speak to the Arab gentleman and the Israeli on his left (screen right)? Let’s make sure we are honest about what the video evidence records.
The IDF commander responds to a question posed by the Israeli to his left (screen right) in the first video by saying that he doesn’t know whose lands these are, but that his duty right now is to establish a boundary between the Israeli communities and the Palestinians working the land.
The elderly Palestinian gentleman points to where they wish to work. The commander says fine, reiterates to the Israeli that his task is to establish a boundary and that he does not want to have to use force in order to do it, then accompanies the Arab elder in the direction of his workers. In the subsequent video we see that the IDF guard the Arab workers as they harvest the land.
That directly contradicts your and Standing Together’s claim that settlers are “using the Israeli Army to try to prevent Palestinians from harvesting.” The commentary you provide and the Standing Together post you quote suggests the opposite of what the video evidence shows, namely that the army prevents the Palestinians from working the land. In fact, the video reveals the army facilitating the workers harvesting the land.
Further claims about settler violence in recent weeks are made by you and Standing Together that are not documented or evidenced here. Readers are asked to accept them on the credibility of the activist organization, Standing Together, making the claims. The problem is that the evidence they themselves present and the framing they attach to it already undermines that credibility. If they cannot be honest about their own presented video evidence and what it actually shows, how can the public be expected to accept their characterizations of past events?
Finally, dispute over these agricultural lands is well documented and routinely litigated. These particular agricultural plots near Dahariya in the South Hebron Hills are part of long running contested claims. Israeli pro-settlement groups regularly file petitions with the Civil Administration and courts arguing that certain Palestinian cultivation is on state land, illegal outposts, or unregistered plots. Palestinian farmers and Israeli human rights groups file counter claims of harassment and displacement. Israeli courts, spanning High Court of Justice, military courts, and land registry proceedings, routinely adjudicate these matters. Those disputes are not simply a fictitious artifact of bad faith narratives. There are legitimate contested facts on the ground.
Iran is sending assassins to murder dissident journalists in the West.

🧵Palestinian Bar Association lists Moatasem Al-Najjar as an innocent lawyer "targeted" by the IDF, one of many "lawyers" killed. But Hamas admitted today that Al-Najjar was a Qassam operative, seen here with Platoon Commander Abdul Ali Safi. More "lawyers" shown below. 1/
Mohammed Yassin was killed in an IDF airstrike on Oct 27, 2023. A seemingly illegal attack on a lawyer and "prominent figure in HUMAN RIGHTS"—but PIJ recently admitted Yassin was a commander in an internationally recognized terrorist organization that participated in 10/7.
Hamas commander Ahmed Siyam held 1,000 Gazans at gunpoint to block them from leaving Rantisi Hospital, using them as human shields before hiding at al-Buraq school. IDF reported killing him on Nov 10, 2023. Hamas now admits he was indeed their commander killed as IDF claimed.
The Trump administration has cut US funding for investigations into Russian war crimes by tens of millions of dollars, Reuters reported. Since 2022, Washington allocated over 283 million dollars worldwide, with Ukraine as the largest recipient, but around half of Ukrainian projects are now affected. Organizations such as Truth Hounds had to lay off staff, pause evidence archiving and delay training for judges and prosecutors, while foreign experts can no longer travel and court infrastructure restoration is suspended.
The IDF posted photos of an SA-14 MANPADS launch tube and BCU seized in Lebanon, which is the first imagery of an SA-14 linked to Hezbollah that I've seen. With the SA-14, we have now identified 7 different models of MANPADS in Hezbollah's inventory since 2023.
🧵The IDF attacked a passenger bus carrying “displaced people” according to local reports on Dec 23, 2024. But Hamas just admitted that its fighter Salim Al-Alami was on that bus—he poses here with fake "journalist" Abdullah Breis. All reports from Gaza are manipulated. 1/
As I told you guys before, our president is stupid (he's a math genius, but otherwise autistic and socially inept). Other than that, he is anti-Russian and very pro-Ukraine. He simply misspoke. We had no better candidate to vote for. The alternative was a Russian cocksucker.
