Many #Bremerton families — especially Shipyard workers — are going without pay during the shutdown. Kitsap Transit, PSE, Cascade Gas & Bremerton Foodline have stepped up. It’s time for City to follow suit and let furloughed workers defer utility payments until paychecks resume.
A moving flag-raising ceremony today at Bremerton’s 9/11 Memorial. 🇺🇸. Thank you to the Firefighter Color Guard and all who work to ensure we never forget the lives lost and the heroes who served.

Huge thanks to city staff, community partners, and everyone who helped bring Quincy Square to life. After years of planning and collaboration, it’s great to see this exciting new public space officially open. A great kickoff to what’s ahead!

🎉 Quincy Square is finally open!
This project has been a long time coming — originally expected to open in 2020. I’m proud to have supported it throughout my time on Council. Thanks to city staff and our community partners for the long, hard work!
Come today 11am to 8pm!
Thank you to Pasco Police for the tour of their new regional training facility. It was great to see modern de-escalation techniques in action — and a local center helping address Washington’s statewide officer shortage. We need to work toward a facility on the peninsula.
Grateful to attend the opening of the Bremerton Multicare ER and Urgent Care the other week. It's now open 24/7! Ever since the loss of Harrison Hospital I've been fighting for #Bremerton#healthcare, and so grateful to see MultiCare answer the call and come to our #community!
Proud to have pushed for and supported these pre-approved ADUs on Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council, and to now have these available in Bremerton. Grateful to Poulsbo for their leadership on this!

A pleasure to attend the grand opening of The Village Event Center and re-opening of Island Hut with fellow Councilmembers Denise Frey and Michael Goodnow. This is what family and community coming together looks like in Bremerton!

I'm proud to have advocated for #Bremerton alongside my fellow Councilmembers during this challenging legislative session. Thanks to the voices of our dedicated community members, we achieved significant wins that enhance the future of our city!
Grateful to our new Parks Director Tim Barker for walking Evergreen-Rotary and Lower Roto Vista with neighborhood volunteer superstar Jake! Be sure to take the new Parks survey by April 30th to give input on how we can make these parks better!

Grateful that @Bremerton City Councilmember Denise Frey and I got a tour of the new Pacific Shelter Building in Port Orchard, a model of what Bremerton's nonprofit and public agency partners are working hard to create.
