It's not an overreaction to question Chet Holmgren's fit in OKC. He straight-up can't defend Wemby, and he was terrified on offense. Bobbled passes. Tripped over his own feet. Even if Wemby wasn't lurking, he looked incapable of scoring against other San Antonio defenders. It was illuminating how bad he was.
But it's also not the first time. Chet was also terrible offensively against Indiana in last year's NBA Finals. He's now 30% from 3 in 48 career playoff games. He's shown no signs of being a shot creator. And his shooting and finishing isn't even translating to the playoffs. Now his max contract is about to kick in. It is completely reasonable to question whether Chet should be part of that plan.
I don't think the answer is a definitive no, to be clear. Chet was voted second in DPOY for a reason. He's an excellent, versatile defender. He still made some competitive plays for the Thunder on that end throughout the series for OKC. And he's still only 24 so there's room for growth on offense. But the Spurs are OKC's main rival and Victor Wembanyama is the player they'll have to get through to win a second title. If Chet can't defend Wemby and can't produce on the other end of the floor, the Oklahoma City front office should at least debate Chet's future.
You’re doing the exact thing you’re accusing us of doing. Taking one segment, ignoring the larger body of work, and using it to create a narrative. We’ve spent far more time discussing SGA’s greatness and OKC’s dominance than a 90 second clip. The algorithm rewarded that clip. That doesn’t make it representative. If we’re evaluating coverage, the standard should be the full body of work, not the one moment people chose to amplify.

I’ve been sitting here contemplating …..
Am I tricking myself into thinking my son is bouncy because I’m his dad
Or
Is my son kinda bouncy for a 5 year old
Shoutout to whoever has that stack of absurd Cam Young tickets they’ve been building for the last 6 months. You seem like a complete psychopath and I couldn’t be rooting for you harder. If I’m not gonna win any money this weekend, then I hope you win literally all of it 🙌
Definitely not writing off Travis Hunter as a WR. Routes were spiking in last two games before LCL tear, went 8-101-1 in final game. Ditching pre-draft evaluations after just 225 NFL routes is silly.
But early signs from JAX not great:
1. Gave Jakobi Meyers a $40m guaranteed extension in December
2. "Plan" to use Hunter as a full-time CB and part-time WR moving forward, per February report
3. Had inbound trade interest on Brian Thomas, but reportedly never considered moving him
4. Continue to talk up Parker Washington as core piece
5. Signed Jake Bobo to an offer sheet which SEA matched
Nobody cares bc they’re not sick and didn’t play a two game night slate featuring the Blazers and Nets BUT the 70% owned player at his literal highest salary of the season is going to triple double with blocks 😂
@GupsCorner hey I’ve just subbed but can’t access slack for some reason. Would you be able to help me out? I couldn’t send you a DM because I’m not verified
