The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Red Air Quality Alert for Fine Particulates on July 17th, 2026. This was caused due to wildfire smoke from Canada and Minnesota.
With temperatures expected to top 90° this Tuesday through Thursday (July 14–16), the City is activating the Homewood Healthy Active Living Center will operate as a cooling center from 8 AM–7 PM.
