There is nothing quite like that feeling after several sessions in a row. Exhausted yet Energized. Grateful for getting the opportunity to glimpse some of the most interesting, painful, tender moments of a person's life. I love it
Just so we're all clear, we're what, 2 weeks into the race to 5k?
And no one is at 4500 yet.

@apooltoswim@GrumpyXian Totally! It's not an either/or situation, but it sometimes get framed that way, which leads to unending debates bc the people arguing are actually arguing about different aspects of the same problem
@apooltoswim@GrumpyXian not even suggest therapy when they complained of problem anxiety.
If we want to solve the problem, we need ways to make MH services more accessible & affordable as well as get that word out.
Not saying I have answers, but it's also silly to argue about which problem is worse
@apooltoswim@GrumpyXian a young person's MH problems often will rely on the tools they have (i.e. Rx meds) bc they live in the same places we do and hear the same mantra that "there are no therapists" and "therapy is too expensive" repeat ad nauseum. I've had students I see tell me that their doc did...
