I'm honored to be a panelist on tonight's KSAT Back-to-School Town Hall Meeting, Nurturing Minds As We Go Back To School, dedicated to addressing mental health concerns students, parents, teachers, & school faculty may face as the school year begins. https://t.co/hNDEKUJ4tw
As school leaders are planning for the 23-24 school year, how can they recognize and show appreciation to their teachers during the year? Please share your ideas, strategies, and thoughts. #TeacherAppreciation

What a FANTASTIC conference intentionally designed, planned, and executed for early childhood leaders! It’s so special to be a part of this community. @HeatherHennesey @CounselorLanie @cholt68_holt @felsprayberry @noemio07@TAASPYC1#Leaders
@TAASPYC1 Proud to host our annual symposium for the Texas Association of Administrators and Supervisors of Programs for Young Children this week in Fort Worth, Texas. Leadership and Early Learning are the foundation of school success! #TAASPYC@syarbrough_PK @CounselorLanie
Now I’m curious about the research that’s been done on ed leadership folks who have ECE or elementary teaching experience. I can’t think of a single administrator I’ve had who had experience teaching anything lower than 5th or 6th grade. Anyone have examples?🧐
@teacher2teacher I love Morning Meetings as a daily check in. Using literature to help connect with students is also a great way to build family and relationships. There are so many great books out there that address so many important topics.
@teacher2teacher Every child is met by a caring adult before they enter the building!
Every morning 700+ students gather in the gym for positive affirmations & mindfulness
Trauma informed master schedule
Calm down corners
Family meetings each day
Emerging Engineers each day
So much more!
Adults in schools please remember.
Putting relationships with kids first is the key to putting learning first.
Minimal energy in relationships by you will result in minimal learning from them.
