Prop 128 would increase required time served before parole eligibility for certain violent crimes from 75% to 85%. Projected increase in state spending $12M-$28M per year, not including social costs like lost wages & increased healthcare expenses.

Prop 130 allocates $350 million state dollars to local law enforcement. This is more than 10x current state funding for local police. Also creates a $1 million death benefit to families of officers killed in the line of duty.
