Canadian who is concerned about the state of affairs in the United States. I oppose wholly the ideas of Trump and want for the day him and his regime are gone.
@shyl0vely@KinaMagica Dehumanizing the other side is a sure fire way to become like them. I don't agree with their points, and by all means, be angry, but don't become them in the process.
Any "no true scotsman" argument can lead to being dismissive of their arguments.
@shyl0vely@KinaMagica I hate the "no true scotsman" fallacy. Great way to hand wave away any argument you dislike.
And yes, I am gay, and yes, I support Trans people. I may not agree with everything, or agree with every person, but I still believe you have rights, like everyone else
At the same time, talking about the long term complications, discussing things and allowing them come an informed decision is an important part of growing up.
I don't think things should be done in a span of weeks or months, but over a couple of years. Slowly, with constant check ins over the time, starting with how they are dressed and their pronouns. They should be checking in with a psychologist roughly every 1-2 months at least, and then start looking at the next steps.
It's dangeroud to assume every child understands everything, but incredibly insulting and harmful to shield them from everything. Let them participate, talk, and have a considerable say in their future, especially as they start to hit their teens.
And neither can you. If we can agree that 13 is too young to drive, smoke, or drink, can we stop pretending that it's ok to think all 13 year olds want to have the kid?
Take it on a case by case basis, but have proper conversations about it with the child, because yes, she is still a child. But don't close off the options for abortion for her.
@ky_eclipse@MCUFilmNews Without a word of a lie, in the first episode, she basically tells Bruce, who went through hell when he was first being hulk, that he knows nothing of true problems. Compares catcalling to his time being trapped as Hulk and having no control over his own body.
@j_aizpuru4226@MCUFilmNews@tatianamaslany Let's not have it like the first season, shall we? As grown adults, you would think we could discuss our problems and come up with communal solutions that can work for everyone, yes?
@Xx_Brokeback_xX@swagger_nas Well...yeah, it was a shit plot, designed to do nothing other than shit on men. If that's your jam, fine, but don't get upset when men react.
@DanoldJtrumpuk@shedreamspurpIe ....Hate to break it to you, but those news sources aren't where I get most of my information from. Living life, experiences with people, and just basic human empathy have shown me that generally speaking, the Democratic party tends to be for the people, not a select group.
@DanoldJtrumpuk@shedreamspurpIe The fact that "leftard" is in your vocabulary means that, yeah, you are right wing enough. When you start demonizing the left or right wing as a whole, like that term does, it means you are a lot less likely to listen to what the other side has to say.
@ToffeePalace@Inb4Jordan@leshaami A lot of that also had to do with medical advancements, but I agree with you. Just because it was normal doesn't mean it was right. Slavery used to be normal, but no one is claiming it was right. Same with women's rights, polygamy, people living in sewage, ect. We have advanced.
@DolanOwen17340@Inb4Jordan@leshaami Being gay doesn't mean my brain stops thinking....sadly though, bigotry seems to have stalled yours. Go sit in a corner and give your brain a restart, then come back when you can come up with arguments instead of ad hominem attacks.
@Inb4Jordan@leshaami Exactly, not your body, not your problem, so don't go around trying to decide for other women what they should be doing with their bodies.
I don't like the idea of abortion, but it's not my life to live, so I'm not going to take abortion off the table in any way.
@Inb4Jordan@leshaami This is an absolutely disgusting viewpoint. How do you know these things without them having had a chance to not be a mother at 14?
@hexgirldbd@FerociousWraith I mean, dislike merchant here myself, but I'll still play out the match. That's just the life of DBD. Sometimes you get killers you like, sometimes you don't
@hexgirldbd I get it for things like Plague, who genuinely trigger physical reactions (and never get mad they dc'd), but for Ghoul? Nah, play it out, maybe get better lol.
@Rickie_C_Miles@Drulz@MegaJess1758@fiercepatricks No, it was part of a tri-omni God's plan. He's all knowing, all powerful, and all loving, supposedly, but then creates people in such varying degrees on inequality, that some are just born relegated to a life of chastity, simply because. That doesn't sound like a good God.
@Marleaux_@MogliRocks@mattxiv And if the conservatives just hadn't implied they were mol*sting their toddler, there wouldn't have been any headlines. Instead, it's people whining that "they have free speech, but shouldn't suffer the consequences of their actions."
@Marleaux_@MogliRocks@mattxiv When you are openly stating that someone is a pedo where anyone can hear, then yes, those words can and should be considered violent. Worse still is the fact that they are parents, which many people already have opinions on.
Question is, why are you ok with them being insulted?
@scheib33417@carolmswain@Rightanglenews@PstrAThomas Show me convincing evidence the bible is true and that your god exists, then we can talk about him having a say in reality, outside of those who choose to follow the religion. Til you do that, all you got is "Mah holy book dough"
