A foul occurs literally 100 yards away from the net that is scored on. A player then goes on a (probably historic) run the full length of the field and makes two passes to score, and it’s called back. That is gross. VAR sucks.
Not sure who has been more surprised: Foreign WC fans, realizing America is a lot better than they thought, or Americans realizing how fun foreign World Cup fans are
As 1994 World Cup dawned in U.S., the NY Rangers ended a 54-year Stanley Cup title drought.
With 2026 World Cup underway in U.S. (and Mexico/Canada), the NY Knicks end 53-year NBA championship wait.
@FumblerooskiFTW They were great. Got booed occasionally but always w a smile on their face. Had a 5 year old boy pretend to hockey fight me once. City is top tier. Gotta go sometime!
Dispatches from Montreal for the Sabres game 4 win. Amazing time, arena was absolutely bananas, and the Habs fans were awesome. Some stuff still sticks out and I’ll try to list the ones I remember before I forget (cont)
Finally, I cant decide my opinion on the hot dogs. Its like a steamed dog on a folded slice of bread. Just so different than what we’re use to at home, but I liked them more this game than the last trip up. Bonus points for them dressing the dog for you before serving. Sabs in 6.
The biggest surprise to me was how easy it was to leave the arena and drive out! Not sure if we got lucky or if all Habs fans train in, but we walked a few blocks and by the time we got to our car the roads were clear and we left in minutes. It’s way WAY worse leaving Toronto.
Montreal vs Buffalo. Red team vs Blue team on a white ice surface. ULTIMATE CONTRAST. It’ll look incredible! Except…No. It’s not. It’s the blue team vs the white team. On the white surface. STOP THIS!
Go Sabres.
