Retailers still can and do set lower prices whenever it's convenient to them, something consumers can benefit from, used games also put downward pressure on prices.
I'm not worried about Sony making more money I'm worried about me having control over my games, the industry has worked fine for decades with physical copies, and it can continue to do so if they remove the bloat from the studios and start making better games again.
