Can anyone explain to me why elderly Canadians should have their social benefits cut before bogus refugee claimants and temporary workers/students who refuse to leave?
I have my issues with Boomers but they are Canadians and Canadians should be coming first.
🔥 Canadian grandma just read The Globe and Mail’s latest and absolutely unloaded.
Article says: “As Canada faces crippling debt, it must do the unpopular thing and cut elderly benefits.”
Her response?
“These are the ones who paid the taxes in this country for how many years… the ones who have defended this country through our military.”
Instead of cutting seniors, how about stopping the immigration spending, the money we ship overseas, and the “lavish meals our prime minister spends upon himself”?
“I am so fucking sick of this country… get rid of this fucking tyranny.”
Seniors built Canada. They paid in. Now they want to cut their benefits while everything else balloons?
What do you think — fair or outrageous?

How incredibly devastating.
Canadians were told that Carney:
✅ Is the best negotiator against Trump
✅ Has the best resume lead the country
✅ Can lead us through turbulent times
✅ Elbows up against US tariffs
The reality:
😖 The only G7 country in a recession
😖 Household savings went down
😖 Food bank use at all-time highs
😖 Negotiated nothing with Trump
😖 Dropped all counter tariffs
😖 Created a Sovereign Debt Fund that will cost taxpayers $750 million per year
😖 Spent $200K on airplane food
😖 Biggest deficit in Canadian history (outside of COVID)
😖 24 hrs before GDP numbers dropped, told US that Canada can Make America Great Again
😖 Signs secret policing agreement with China
😖 Angers 14 of his MPs with 1 quitting
Canadians were lied to.
Manipulated.
The Prime Minister was boosted & promoted by China to win.
He holds almost all of his investments in the US.
Refuses to make a deal with the US & instead goes into the arms of China.
He has his Harvard degree & his PhD.
That’s what makes this even more catastrophic.
By every measure, Carney has failed.
Canada’s technical recession has more troubling implications than many would consider at first glance…
“For months all of this has been blamed on Tariffs”
Melanie Paradis absolutely nails it here.
It doesn’t matter how much you rely on what various economists say, or try to sweep it under a rug. This is not good for the people on the ground who have to live with it.
Congratulations to @KerryLynneFindl, the next Premier of BC.
She won as a principled Conservative fighting for property rights, low taxes, small government, free enterprise, and getting tough on crime.
I want to thank all the candidates who put their names forward in this race.
Let’s now work together to make Canada affordable, safe, and united here at home.
Let’s see, many Canadians hate President Trump because he does what’s best for America, yet simultaneously support CARNEY who has taken Canada into a recession 👀
Imagine if Canada had a PM who put Canada first
BREAKING: Mark Carney is the ONLY leader in the G7 to lead his economy into a RECESSION. All other G7 countries face the same tariff and global problems, yet none are in a recession.
Excuses, speeches, buzzwords, and signing ceremonies do not grow the economy.
Canada is the only G7 country in recession because of Carney Liberals hiking industrial carbon taxes, kept anti-development laws, and doubling Trudeau’s deficit.
I was in the South Keys Walmart in Ottawa near Bank Street yesterday. This is what I saw:
-every (I'm being literal here) worker was non-Canadian and most were of Indian (from India) descent;
-the customers were majority newly arrived people, Indian, and a large number of women wore a hijab;
-there was a roving security guard wearing a mask dressed in a full security guard get up with vest and identitying marks;
-the shopping carts have chains to insert quarters into and had devices to lock up the wheels if you went too far away from Walmart's property (this is the second Walmart location in Ottawa that I've seen this);
-a larger amount of items were behind locked glass; and
-cargo carts were locked by a wire lock in the McDonald's (inside Walmart) eating area.
I've only seen carts with those wheel locking devices in one other area in the States.
I rarely see a roving security guard at stores in the States and other places in Canada.
Canada has changed for the worse directly due to who the Liberals allowed into Canada. I've been to some of the countries they are coming from and they just do not integrate into other countries' societies. We aren't getting doctors and nurses folks. We're getting the villagers. Crime is up. Healthcare is worse. Housing is worse. Youth unemployment is at record highs. Tim Hortons and other businesses are overrun with non-Canadian workers. Now Canada is in a technical recession. Still no agreement with the US on a free trade agreement (modified CUSMA/USMCA) with no negotiations between Canada/US while Mexico has chosen not to insult Trump and quietly negotiate.
I could go on and on, but if we have more years of Liberal rule you WILL (not maybe) see more of what I saw at Walmart throughout Canada.
Is this what you want?
