We’re harvesting soybean variety plots in Southern Lonoke County ! Moisture is in the high single digits for all varieties.

Corn harvest is underway here in Lonoke County . The intense temperatures have allowed corn to dry down quicker than normal for the 2023 harvest.

As we work on the issue of watering mature pecan trees this video shows the use of poly pipe here in Lonoke County to get sufficient water to these trees as pecans are forming ., without the adequate amount of water production of pecans fall short ,

Lonoke County Master Gardeners are hosting “Meet The Masters” as the 2023 membership drive kicks off with other meetings across the county in weeks to follow .

Boots on the ground helping area farmers , while many see a grain drill and think of rice , soybeans or other row crops Amy Tallent and I are helping calibrate this rig to plant common Bermuda grass , after some continued adjustments they’re ready to go .

As we find ourselves celebrating the Memorial Day weekend the Tri-County Pecan Demonstration group returns to the orchards to continue our work . We have new cooperators on board to help in research , Thanks to all our cooperators for their support .
