We officially launched the Ksh. 200 million Mwea Integrated Water Supply Rehabilitation and Expansion Project at Kandongu, which will benefit about 30,000 households across eight wards through over 57 kilometers of pipeline network in Mwea Constituency.

We also handed over the 3-acre site for the construction of Wang’uru Market Phase II, which will provide modern trading spaces for over 1,500 traders from Wang’uru, Tebere, Thiba and Nyangati wards. #KaziIongee #KirinyagaRising #WiraWarie

✅ Learning materials for 877 ECDE learners across 11 centres
✅ Water boost: 96 pipes (Kianduru – 1,200 beneficiaries) & 100 pipes (Kagikiki – 380 households)
✅ 9 tents & 2,050 chairs to 31 groups for income and social support
✅ Assistive devices for 61 PWDs, including wheelchairs, crutches, white canes & hearing aids

Issued Ksh. 𝟭𝟮𝟵.𝟱 million in bursaries to support 48,000 students across Kirinyaga, ensuring that no child is left behind due to lack of school fees. This brings our total bursary disbursement since 2017 to Ksh. 𝟲𝟳𝟬.𝟮 million.

Beyond bursaries, we are strengthening education through:

✅ Distribution of 62,127 textbooks, 20,709 pencils, 404 curriculum designs & 202 packets of chalk to 14,142 ECDE learners
✅ Provision of 605 learners’ chairs, 90 tables, 9 teachers’ chairs & 7 storage units
✅ Construction of new ECDE classrooms in Kiriko, Nyamindi, Mukou & Ng’ang’a
✅ Over 14,000 ECDE uniforms issued to boost enrolment
✅ Continuous recruitment, training, and support of ECDE teachers, including CBC-aligned capacity building
✅ Rollout of digital learning in ECDE centres, with teachers already trained on integration
✅ Revitalization of TVET institutions, boosting enrolment
