Apparently he missed some, according to later verses.

But assuming he wasn't lying in 1 Samuel 15 we he said he killed'em all, I would presume that to mean within militarily feasible limits vs a nomadic desert tribe. (This would also strengthen my argument about the difficulty of 100% achievement.)

And assuming he wasn't scolded for failing that part of the job, I don't think the story is really about that. If there's any consequentialist argument to be made here, maybe in not keeping trophies and spoils of war so can avoid that temptation and reputation.

This kind of theology shet kinda gae, but it's a personal peeve when people try to use twisted theology to push their rhetoric. Dx
