Hoping to make it through medical school! 🏳️‍🌈 @premedpride “Life is Pain. anyone who says differently is selling something”

I picked up my cap and gown today. Given I pass some crucial exams I will graduate in December with my Masters! I'm the first person in my family to graduate with a Masters. I'm also the first person to graduate with any collegiate degree. #uky #Graduation2019

And they won’t even provide the ones for the classes that start later and most of the time it’s wrong, like how are we this disorganized at this level

[Court Waterbury 🏳️‍🌈 (they/them) @CourtCourtWater]

I think it’s ridiculous that any other class, program, graduate studies that I’ve been through provide syllabi for the classes at least a week before classes start but #medicalschool can wait until the hour before and be like oh you didn’t read everything already, 🤷‍♂️ deal w/ it!

[Ashton Amos, DO, MMS, MSMEd @ashtonsamos]

Oh we are still discriminating against DO students for no reason?? One of my friends applying ortho sent this to me and it’s honestly a shame. Save your money come application time my DO ortho friends by not applying to a program like this.

Went to an OSCE practice today & one of the students patronizingly asks me why I’m wearing scrubs (as if wearing scrubs is a revolutionary idea in medicine) so I responded very loudly with I’m on my period!!

Med school seems to breed cunts!

@EdwardNgDO The comments in this are telling!!! It’s giving I was traumatized so everyone must suffer with me.

[Court Waterbury 🏳️‍🌈 (they/them) @CourtCourtWater]

I have always thought that I didn’t have any religious trauma and then I realized that my brain keeps trying to forget about when I had to go to a religious ‘therapist’ as a child. I had to recite bible verses & be prayed over and talk about my ‘sins’ and why I was a bad child!

[Court Waterbury 🏳️‍🌈 (they/them) @CourtCourtWater]

I have to remind myself daily that my classmate’s frontal lobes aren’t finished developing as an excuse for their behavior

If churches can afford Super Bowl commercials they can afford to be taxed!

Doug the Blue Coat called into KSR and said UK Athletics told the Committee to not allow him to be a Blue Coat anymore bc he flipped the bird at the Florida game

He said he has done the games for 19 years, loves the students and is sad. We need to help

[Shematologist, MD @acweyand]

If I had a child in Florida I wouldn’t have any problem filling out those forms.

My child had menarche at its none of your goddamn business, the date of their last period was focus on something that matters and the number of periods in the last year was I think we’re done here.

It has not disappointed 😅

About to text the soccer dad group chat “Who’s John Denver?” just to feel something inside

I’m tired of always being one step away from homelessness

[Court Waterbury 🏳️‍🌈 (they/them) @CourtCourtWater]

The amount of gaslighting people will do on behalf of an institution that wouldn’t care if you died is astounding!

Exhibit A

Things I should be doing: studying
Things I’m actually doing: editing photos of my soccer dads

The No. 1 and No. 8 women's cross country programs in the country in 2022 have said to hell with body composition testing—it's not accurate, it's actively harmful, and it's not making anyone faster. @cindykuzma reports: https://t.co/EMtIkggJi4

[Court Waterbury 🏳️‍🌈 (they/them) @CourtCourtWater]

I realize that I cannot spell, please extrapolate as you like to what that means for the future of medicine

[Court Waterbury 🏳️‍🌈 (they/them) @CourtCourtWater]

Proof that medical school is just like high school but somehow worse . . . We have a ‘ball’ this week & their will be voting for superlatives
