It is no surprise that Whitmer is backing the only candidate in this race who is accepting corporate PAC money from any company that will offer it — from BlackRock, to Goldman Sachs, to DTE, and dozens more. Just like Whitmer, Stevens would return the favor to her corporate donors if she gets to the U.S. Senate.

If you are a prominent Democrat and you refuse to back the nominee just because your preferred candidate lost the primary, then it’s abundantly clear that you care more about your petty grievances than actually helping the people who are suffering the most in this country under Trump.
