Medford (14-12) lost to Mosinee (18-7) in a regional semifinal. They return all but 1 player and their top 3 scorers, including 2 double-digit scorers that were underclassmen last year in current jrs @KlingbeilT70876 (5'10"--18.9ppg, 5.2rpg) & @KBaumgartn12834 (6'--13.3ppg, 8.7rpg, 2.3bpg). Medford is in the same half-sectional as Rice Lake, while conference rival Rhinelander is in the other half.

Pius XI Catholic (20-6, #5) lost to Whitefish Bay (24-3, #3) in a regional final. They graduated their top 3 scorers (all currently playing college basketball), but their next 5 scorers were underclassmen last year as the look to retool behind current jrs @chelinda__ (5'6"--7.7ppg), Maricella Rivera (5'5"--6.6ppg), & Sydney Tilley (5'6"--5.3ppg), & sophs @JacksonLillee (6'--6.1ppg), Lizzie Jackson (6'--5.2ppg), & @ShillVonna05 (5'4"--3.7ppg). Pius is once again in the same half-sectional as Whitefish Bay.

Fox Valley Lutheran (10-14) lost to Shawano (21-6) in a regional final. They return their top 4 scorers and 6 of their top 7. Four of those 6 are seniors to provide them with senior leadership, but they are in the Young Guns category due to the return of the #2 scorer soph Brianna Dahlke (5'10"--10.3ppg, 7.4rpg) and their incoming fr class consisting of @k19_peterson (5'7"), Alana Baker (5'10"), Maci Healy (5'7"), & Paige Healy (5'7"). Based on what I saw this summer, I would anticipate Peterson being a varsity contributor right away while the others may get a lot of developmental minutes on JV to provide depth by the end of the season or to be ready to step into vacated roles over the next two years. FVL shares a half-sectional with Xavier, while Beaver Dam lies in the other half.

Rhinelander (13-12) lost to Menomonie (13-13) in a regional semifinal, but they were 9-3 in their first 12 games before leading scorer Aubryn Clark got injured in game #13. They graduate their 3rd and 4th leading scorers, but their top 6 returning scorers were underclassmen last year, including current jrs @aubrynclark (5'8"--21.5ppg, 3.5apg, 3.2spg in 13 games), Vivian Lamers (5'6"--11.5ppg, 3.1spg), & Lexi Beran (6'--3.5ppg, 5.7rpg). They are on the opposite half of the sectional from Medford and Rice Lake.
