A woman arrived in a wheelchair for a hearing on the second floor at Maidstone Crown Court - where there are no working public lifts. It meant judge and clerk moving to the first floor and security helping the woman up the stairs. The state of court buildings is quite shameful.
The lift at crown court was broke when I went on holiday two weeks ago. It’s still broke. I’m disabled, I struggle with stairs. Thank you HMCTS for confining me to the ground floor and making me feel valued.
Meanwhile, at Canterbury Crown Court broken lifts mean some people may never see justice… and both lifts are also out of action at Maidstone @CourtsIdle https://t.co/uLOTdu5oEg
Oh dear! Michael Gove has been stuck in the BBC broadcasting House lift “for some time”, meaning he’s late for his in-person interview on Today prog. @bbcnickrobinson reveals he is “keeping cheerful”.
@calorieneutral @EvansTheCrime @BeckyBarrister It is obviously an outrage. Suggest taking advice on potential breach of duty of care and/or human rights immediately!
