We want to inform you of our Christmas break schedule. Our head office will be closed from 12pm on December 22 and will reopen on January 2. Our Telephone Service won’t be operating until January 10 but please give our office a call to book in support on its return.
This year has been particularly special as we celebrate the expansion of our service to new horizons: we launched services in Brisbane and Dandenong FCFCOA, as well as Latrobe Valley Law Court. We are now also offering support via telephone to court users attending FCFCOA in QLD.
As we approach the end of an incredible year, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to the heartbeat of Court Network – our amazing volunteers! Your unwavering dedication, hard work, and passion has fueled our mission and vision, and empowered countless court users.
As put by the United Nations, "everyone is entitled to rights as a human being- regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status." #16daysofactivism#humanrightsday#equality#courtnetwork
Sunday 10th December marked the 75th anniversary of Human Rights Day, where 2023's theme was "Freedom, Equality, and Justice for All."
It also marked the end of the 16 Days of Activism campaign with a global theme of “UNITE! Invest to prevent violence against women and girls.”
With staff participating in events such as the walk against family violence held in Melbourne CBD on the launch of the campaign, in addition to events put on by local organisations, Court Network acknowledges the need to continue the important work of these movements.
Court Network is in awe of all our amazing volunteers who make the service possible. To our Networkers, and to volunteers everywhere, THANK YOU for the generosity you share with your community.

Happy International Volunteer Day!
This year, we mark International Volunteer Day by recognising the power of collective action: if everyone did.
"Volunteerism is an enormous renewable resource for social, economic and environmental problem-solving throughout the world...
... As the world faces mounting challenges, volunteers are often the first to help. Volunteers are at the fore in crises and emergencies, often in very testing and dire situations." - United Nations
Two weeks ago, Court Network celebrated our 2023 Annual Conference. The theme was Trauma-Informed Practice: A Shared Understanding. It was lovely to have Networkers and staff come together for what was a great day of learning and listening to a range of brilliant speakers.
We acknowledge the continued dedication shown by our volunteers, many of whom have been with us for significant periods of time, and we thank everyone who attended in celebration of this.
Court Network has a new brochure for services in Victoria! In it you will find up-to-date information on the services we provide and how you can access support.
