Lots to process here. It was becoming clear that D2 would be put on maintenance mode, wasn't expecting it to be this soon.
However, while this news is very saddening it has prompted me to remember all the exceptional high points of my Destiny life (and partially career).
D2 Launch - Forsaken (2017-2019)
๐ Took a break after Curse of Osiris and returned for the 6+ person Escalation Protocol shenanigans
๐ Got interested in buildcrafting and seeing how the game 'ticked' (like damage stacking)
๐ Published my original Damage Stacking Spreadsheet
Shadowkeep - Beyond Light (2019-2022)
๐ My spreadsheet evolved and expanded and was being sourced by Destiny creators and I was so hyped; huge shout out to @falloutplays
๐ Invited to the Destiny Massive Breakdowns science server to meet a bunch of many talented science folks, nerds, and great people (thank you @Mercules904 and @kyt_kutcha for the opportunity)
Witch Queen - The Final Shape (2022-2025)
๐ Decided to chase something dear to me: graphic and visual design; started making Destiny Infographics for topics that are often misunderstood (I love doing these)
๐ Destiny Massive Breakdowns invited me (Hunter) to produce and host a show with an amazing Fireteam: Impetus (Warlock) and @Saint_Kabr (Titan) called @PodvsEnemies with @CameronChollar as our amazing audio engineer
๐ Bungie invited PVE to interview multiple passionate Destiny developers over this era, what a great vibe those interviews were (thank you Chris Proctor x3, Vivian Becks, and Rodney Thompson)
Edge of Fate - ? (2025-)
๐ 2025 was one of the worst years for my personally (losing a job and my Dad), Destiny kept me afloat
๐ Was officially recognised by @DestinyTheGame for my services to Destiny science/data/api content with the Parallel Program emblem
๐ Was invited on as an official Destiny 2 Creator
๐ Joined @LlamaOnD2's team as his manager, researcher, designer, and "guy in the chair" guy
๐ Involved w/ Llama on multiple video projects flexing and evolving those design muscles (to name a few: The Portal, refreshed RAD Gear, Darkness Supers) - had an absolute treat working on all these projects
While I don't have anything to share what my immediate and long-term plans are, I still plan on releasing my seasonal Destiny Infographics updates in June, in addition to Marathon Infographics too.
During these 9 years I've met many people who I cherish dearly. Destiny, especially D2, has been intertwined with most of my adult life and I'm so thankful to have experienced it - especially with friends.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
Weโre proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
