I'm working on phasing out this account, but you can still follow along with random thoughts on bluesky and longer updates on Instagram 🫶 same name both places. See you there!
#BBNYA2025 Panelists' thoughts on Death of a Timeline by @CourteneyWrites
"I find the style of writing engaging."
"The writing style is quite crisp and builds both the suspense of the situation as well as the world quite well."

I also have a website (linked on profile) where you can find my next player-choice story. I drop you into the settings of my first book, Death of a Timeline, and we can see if you'd survive. We're just doing some set up...

Haven't written much in the last week, but around the middle of the month I did hit the 30k words milestone for Draft 1 of Book 2 of the Dythoids series. I'm approaching the end of Part 1, so that's exciting. I'm doing a lot more complete rewrites than I expected, but that's okay
we need to bring back words like wastrel, rogue, ruffian, ne’er-do-well. there is an epidemic of miscreants doing shenanigans and we have lost the vocabulary to describe them.
Since this, I've written about 26k words, 1/4 of my goal word count for draft 1.
I know I don't get much traction here anymore (w/ good reason) but my 1st book is ranking the highest since launch & it would be neat to break Top 100 in a category again 💕

Started the evening of writing by dragging out a map for my whiteboard, and ended it learning about the Stalacpipe Organ in Luray Caverns. I imagine experiencing it is haunting in the best way.
What is happening on the bigger stage right now is so reminiscent of every single time I've fallen for the ploys of a manipulator. On one hand, it's extremely frustrating & aggravating to have so many people defending this shit, but on the other there is a degree of understanding
We don’t all have to like the same books. In fact, that’s a lot of the beauty of reading. And even more beautiful is finding a book you enjoyed, coming back to read it later, and finding you love it even more.

1 hour until #StoryCrafter chat! It’s the first week of the month so we’re gonna have a roleplay chat! Pick a character from your WIP to answer as and join us!
@CSaundersWrites Weekly writing chats are getting into a good rhythm over there. The only one I recall seeing come up for me here lately is Story Crafter.
@CSaundersWrites A lot of writers, artists, and folks in the TTRPG spaces have moved there, sometimes deleting their accounts here. Those are the communities I engage with the most, so I've had a fun time.
@CSaundersWrites I actually have a fake name for my register sign in because some dudes are creeps. I had it as Cor at one point and this really pushy guy was making me uncomfortable, wanting my name. I refused, but he felt he won when he read the receipt and singsong said "Thanks, Cory!" 🙄
It's hard to balance paying attention to the state of things w/ pacing myself for the long haul of this. I'm finally stepping out of the last stretch where I had run myself into the ground, & I'm refusing to do that to myself again. Eyes are open, but I can't be at the front atm.
I love when pieces fall into place while researching and writing. I can't wait for readers to find this silly reference that, as it turns out, makes a lot of sense in the context of the story. I'm sitting here laughing that I might actually pull this off.😂🛶💙📚
#Dythoids
@CSaundersWrites Yes. *sigh* To be fair, when this sort of thing happens, usually it's just the middle age+ guys from the local bars asking if I want to go for a bike ride in the park or come home with them and they'll make me fresh garden tomato salad. This is only the 2nd time marriage came up.
