#323learns@StefaniePitzer, you are awesome! Thank you for creating the 323 Digital Instruction Guidebook! Wow! I especially liked learning more about Google Slides, Google Drawings, and using Playboards! You are awesome!
#323learns#YourStudentsMyStudentsOurStudents-I'd like to see adequate common prep time given if we go remote for spec. ed staff and teachers to collaborate.
#323learns#YourstudentsMystudentOurStudentsQ2- We could increase inclusivity in our school by doing more push in IEP minutes vs. pull-out. I also like the idea of trying infused skill grids. This would promote a culture of "OUR students".
#323learns#YourStudentsMyStudentsOurStudentsQ3- I think at Banner our aides do an amazing job of working on task completion, while practicing skill development. As they complete class work, they are also reinforcing what I taught and fundamentals.
#323learns#YourstudentsMyStudentsOurstudentsQ2- I would love to have more time to collaborate this year with our life skills teacher and our special ed teacher to accommodate our students with IEPs, especially if we go remote.
#323learns#YourStudentMyStudentOurStudent Q1- I had several students last year that were also in the Life Skills Class. One of the students went from avoiding all peers and interaction to choosing stations where he could be right with his peers and work side by side. :)
The first step on my grit ladder would be to see what the district would cover and where I could go that offers sign language classes. The last step would be to get a degree or endorsement or complete a sign language program, and then teach it in my classroom!
#323learns#TheBurnoutCureQ4 -I had trouble thinking of a gritty (longterm / challenging goal) other than the goals I mentioned in Q3. One thing I've wanted to do for a few years is learn sign language. I really think it would be wonderful to teach my kindergarteners!
#323learns#TheBurnoutCureQ3- One experiential goal that I've set was to get my Master's. I completed this goal, and it felt great! I also set a goal to read the Bible. I also met this goal, and I am so glad I did. Both of those are overwhelming tasks when you...
#323learns#TheBurnoutCureQ2- I taught dance class through high school. We were expected to be very bubbly and smiley! We always had to treat parents with respect, even if a disagreement occurred. We were taught to be extremely professional when interacting with students...
or What is your favorite way to spend time with your family? It would help us make deeper connections and really become a class family by knowing each other even better.
#323learns#TheBurnoutCureQ1cont.- I would use this survey at the beginning of the year with basic 'get to know you' ideas. I think it could be redone 2nd semester with and even more in depth interests. For example, what do you want to be when you grow up?
#323learns#TheBurnoutCureA1 cont- I usually share my own answers as I model how to do the survey. I think it would be more powerful to share mine after they are done. I like the idea of looking for others who share common answers, including my own!
#323learns#TheBurnoutCureA1- I think a common ground survey is a good idea. In kindergarten, I've used surveys like this at the beginning of the year, but with pictures. (Most can't read or write yet.) They draw pictures of their favorite foods, sports, toys, hobbies, etc...
A4: To finish my answer, I think being intentional about stopping in other classrooms at the end of the day or in the morning to check in and say hello would offer more opportunities. Unfortunately, the para's usually arrive later and leave earlier. ;(#323learns
A4: Our staff is very good at getting to know each other well. We all get along really well. I'd love to get to know the paraprofessionals in other classrooms too. When we don't eat lunch together, it is hard to ask these questions and have good conversation.#323learns
