@JadaT2021@cranbury_s I support it also! We just recently got news of relief funds for dual and single parent military members. I wonder if this was the reason?@cranbury_s@SUSocialWork
In today's world, this is not good news. When African Americans already believe the system is against them. This is bad news because if one is doing who knows what other states are too. @cranbury_s@SUSocialWork

“We’ve always had some unconstitutional legislation, but in recent years, and in this session in particular, we’ve seen that grow in volume,” said Nicole McAfee, director of policy and advocacy for the ACLU of Oklahoma. https://t.co/lKRK0oIjys

@msw_tom@SUSocialWork@cranbury_s I have been watching the news closely on drugs and the legalization of certain ones lately. This news leaves me worried about the support for people of color in communities in the United States. @cranbury_s@SUSocialWork
@KeelayTheRed @BroccoliWila Exactly, there is still ground to make up on an issue we have been fighting for decades. The more everyone stands TOGETHER the LOUDER our voices are.@cranbury_s@SUSocialWork
There are many important events this month however, please don't forget that it is also SAAPM. We need continued work on policies that govern prevention, support, and advocacy. @cranbury_s@SUSocialWork
@MichaelaHigash1@CHall_SU_MSW@cranbury_s Great read. As a military member, I wholeheartedly agree. Although the military is trying to do better it is still leaps and bounds behind on issues like this and on promotion in the officer ranks amongst the different race and ethnic groups. @SUSocialWork@cranbury_s
The United States government needs to create better policies and procedures that implement a deeper background and security check on those who want to buy weapons. Violence is taking over America and we need to stop it now before it gets even worst.@SUSocialWork@cranbury_s
This is suspected white supremacist mass killer Brandon Scott Hole. He is suspected of targeting Black people at an Indianapolis Fedex facility where he committed the shooting. It appears authorities scrubbed his online footprints, because he was already on the radar of the FBI
@HannahGardner05 @cranbury_s Hannah this is terrible. I also have to move back to the United States next year and I am already worried about myself, and my family. @SUSocialWork@cranbury_s
Big steps or little steps don't matter as long as they are steps in the right direction. Changes in policy, practice, and Advocacy are always needed. @cranbury_s@SUSocialWork
#FIFSW Master of Social Work students write about globalization’s impact on policy, practice & advocacy in #socialwork via the blog Shared Responsibility. This week, they reflected on Robyn Maynard’s @policingblack book, Policing Black Lives: https://t.co/3rafv8Fx4c
The current pandemic has affected us all in some kind of way. Alcohol Awareness Month challenges us to face one vice that many have. Let's do it together! @SUSocialWork@cranbury_s#AlcoholAwarenessMonth
