Today I presented the Governor’s Medal of Courage to Jack Wilson.
He’s the hero who risked his life to save the lives of others by stopping a gunman in a deadly shooting at a church near Fort Worth.
It’s the highest award given to civilians in Texas.

Normally when I say “I feel old” or “that makes me feel old” I’m usually saying it to fit in.....until TikTok. TikTok makes me feel like I need to trade in my iPhone for a jitterbug.
My mom said “Waiting for someone to act correctly is a disrespect to yourself. You’re compromising your worth just because someone can’t fully afford it.” And I just... whew.
God didn’t cause the accident that left me paralyzed, but He did help me persevere over that enormous challenge.
I’m a testament that the glory of God is revealed by a young man’s back being broken in half and still rising up to be Governor of Texas.
With God all is possible.
my toxic trait is not being able to write messages without exclamation points after everything! i’m really not this excited! i just don’t want to come across as rude without them! i seriously can’t stop! help! !
God I really need your help today. Take today and make it beautiful regardless of all the negative. You are great and mighty and your plan is my plan. I love you, God.
A fellow classmate did the right thing and reported this kid to authorities.
He is locked up and charged with two felonies. Now he will never be able to purchase a gun due to his background.
Countless of lives are saved thanks to that classmate! #FixIt https://t.co/gO7oowopaY
“What I lack in Instagram posts I make up for in Instagram stories” - me to myself after another weekend of zero pics, actually enjoying life, stuffing my face with garbage, being a hot mess, maxing out my credit card, ignoring texts, and living in the moment! 😍
