An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

Fantastic point with some great substitutions made by Edwards.
Let’s forget how much we paid for him but Whittaker should be no where near that starting 11. Poor footballer who makes poor decisions.
Onto the next one UTB #boro
The Iheanacho signing is right up there with the signing of Adlene Guedioura. Utter shite. Carrick once again clueless leaving his subs too late. He’s got to go #boro
We don’t deserve to go up. If Ayling was a dog he would have been put down years ago. As for Edmundson, Tractor would be a more fitting nickname than Fridge. Every boro fan could see where we needed to improve. Dreadful #boro
#ManCity have conceded five goals in an away Premier League match for the first time since an 8-1 defeat to Middlesbrough in May 2008. 🤦♂️🖐️ @WhoScored
IT SEEMS THE LABOUR PARTY, FAR FROM BEING AGAINST CHILD GROOMING GANGS, ARE IN FACT, ONE OF THE LARGEST GROOMING GANGS IN THE UK.

Atlanta United submitted an official bid to Middlesbrough for forward, Emmanuel Latte Lath. The offer is worth around €18m including €1m in add-ons + important salary proposal to Latte Lath. 🔴⚫️ #ATLUTD#Boro
Good grief! Rishi Sunak just tore Labour's anti-growth, anti-business, high tax, disaster budget to shreds.
'They have fiddled the figures. They raised tax to record levels. They have broken their promises, and it's working people that will pay the price'
He did not hold back!
