It was all too easy with Spencer. The way his eyes flashed when she fluttered her eyes was all it took — and the biggest sign that something would go wrong.
“You know I don’t like being picked up.” Pressing up on her toes, a small kiss was placed on his cheek.
Turning to face him, a smile tugged at her lips — only slightly forced. Her hands were quick to rest on his chest, too, a brow lifting.
“Shut up. You know what that’s about.”
The second his arms wrapped around her waist, she knew what was coming. They had been playing this game for nearly a year now, after all, and as she laid her arms over his, a squeal fell from her lips.
Just more proof of the danger she was putting herself in.
“SPENCE!”
