We're saddened to hear about the passing of Mike Newman. Mike was the man who kept the wheel turning when it came to running news in Illinois. One of our athletes was able to work hand in hand with Mike as he was willing to post his videos on his website. He will be missed.

2 of 3: It led to success in both sports. During 5 school yrs. in a consecutive stretch of 6, his boys basketball, girls cross country and boys cc teams brought home 7 state finals trophies: 1st, 2nd or 3rd. The boys and girls both were cross country team state champions in 1988.
