Cowboys DT Quinnen Williams has been impressed with rookie Caleb Downs so far:
“He has all of the tools, man. He has all the things that you want from a guy to come in and make an immediate impact. He’s humble, he’s ready to learn.”
“Everyone on defense knows how urgent it is to get better, and having a guy like Caleb coming in with the same intensity and urgency to have an impact, it’s unbelievable.”
Breakout seasons aren’t guaranteed; talent, timing, and health must align.
The #Cowboys, however, has several players positioned for that to happen.

Talked with Cowboys QB Dak Prescott yesterday and asked him about his initial impressions of Caleb Downs and the comparisons to himself.
"Hell, I think I take it as a compliment when those comparisons come around."

#Cowboys legend Michael Irvin criticizes Stephen Jones over his public handling of George Pickens as a rival #NFL executive warns of a revolt.

#Cowboys Michael Irvin was asked about his feelings on seeing Troy Aikman in a consulting role with the Miami Dolphins front office, rather than with Dallas.
Irvin: “…it pains me to see that happening because I know Troy wanted to do that. Troy wanted a John Elway situation here in Dallas, and I know he wanted it. Certainly, he’s earned it, but it’s not going to happen, and I rest my mind to that reality…”
Irvin says he knows the Jones family wouldn’t hand over the franchise to Aikman like the Denver Broncos did with Elway, but he wishes the front office would gather as much information as possible from someone who’s experienced a lot, knows a lot, and understands what success looks like.

As training camp approaches, clarity around these roster questions will be essential.
The #Cowboys have the foundation of a competitive team, but whether they maximize that potential depends on how they navigate the offseason.
