I get the gist of this tweet, but emptying a trash can's content in the street and then stealing said trash can on camera is a display of remarkably stupid judgment.
call me the friend that’s too woke, but I think getting fired for something like this especially when it has absolutely nothing to do with your job and ESPECIALLY in this economy is absolutely insane
I need a @pablofindsout investigation into when exactly the Freddy thing turned into a bit and jumped the shark, and how much insane sums of money he's made by just naming every brand possible like it's the seventh wonder of the world.
I can’t think of the last time a pro sports league needed a competent commissioner more badly than the WNBA does right now. Maybe the NBA in the early-80s pre-Stern.
Yeah, I don't think this was a reasonable decision by BlueSky, but my opinion is pretty worthless.
Still, I do worry about Popehat's sanity and being kicked off social media would probably be helpful to him.
NEWS: Popehat @Popehat, aka attorney Ken White, has been permanently banned from Bluesky, apparently for a post in which he suggested there was a moral upside to Elon Musk’s death.
The Bluesky body politic, meanwhile, is losing its mind over this. Popehat is one of their heroes.
It’s sad that someone would feel compelled to write an article like this.
Within this Atlantic article, the writer strains against the joy that’s been expressed by our foreign World Cup guests, and tries to find evidence of its falseness.
He is unable to.
I have saved you the trouble of reading the article. Enjoy all the happy videos instead.
And @TheAtlantic, you would gain many subscribers if you were to instead print the obvious piece about the joy being expressed. And also pull some happiness to yourself in associating with this joy.
Cannot make this up, either.
@nytimes opinion has had four recent pieces about fatherhood and masculinity, with six authors:
Three women
A trans "man"
Two childless men
Not one father. The cultural elite contempt for dads runs so deep we don't even get to speak for ourselves.
I feel for Nico because @StubHub did this to me. Kept telling me the tickets would be delivered. Wife and I drove halfway to the performance for dinner. Kept calling and finally told me tickets were never delivered and refunded me.
I feel for Nico and family.
Hi @TeamStubHub I'm asking for your help with Order #630609597.
Back in December, I bought 5 tickets for my family to attend the World Cup Round of 16 match in Philadelphia on July 4. Since then, we've planned an entire family trip around this game and have already purchased flights and hotel reservations.
Over the past week, I've been told several different versions of what is happening with my tickets:
→ June 12: The seller didn't have the tickets and I would receive replacement options.
→ June 15: The seller was fine and my tickets would arrive soon.
→ June 16: The seller was unresponsive.
→ June 17: The tickets would arrive by July 1 because of FIFA restrictions.
→ June 19: The delivery date moved to July 3, and a manager acknowledged the seller's behavior appeared suspicious, but said nothing could be done until the day of the match.
I'm honestly scared we're being forced to wait until the very last minute only to find out the tickets aren't coming. Every day that passes leaves my family with fewer options.
I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking StubHub to help us before we're out of time.

I read and engaged with the article but I think that all of these articles/posts are pretty clear Rorschach tests. "If I'm miserable here, how others could be happy here?"
It forces miserable people to engage with the fact their misery is rarely the result of geography.

It’s not refreshing at all actually. Not only does it not feel genuine anymore…All of these companies should be helping the people that actually pay their bills here. They’re all able to help some random person visiting, but when costumers who live here need help they suddenly can’t do anything. I don’t get the point of throwing free gifts at one random tourist when the whole point of wanting tourism boosted is to help the economy of the country that is being visited. It all lacks honesty, and at this point none of it seems genuine. I no longer even think this was a natural thing, feels fake now.
@paulpowlesland We strongly support communities improving their local environment. It’s our responsibility to work with landowners to make sure activity doesn't cause unintended harm to the environment. We're investigating some unpermitted work on the River Roding but no decision has been made.
