6 BA, 2 hose reels and a main jet were used to extinguish the fire which also involved a car.

H72P1 was mobilised to an RTC persons trapped in Gurnard.
On arrival a car was found to have left the road and ended up on top of a hedge.
4 people self extricated with minor injuries.

H72P1 was mobilised to a fire in the open in Arctic road copse. On arrival the crew found a small fire in a clearing with obvious signs of multiple previous fires.

Busy day for Cowes today.
1634 mobilised to standby at Newport fire station while Newport dealt with an incident in Shalfleet.
H72P1 mobilised again whilst on our drill night to a Flat fire with persons reported in East Cowes.
Third shout of the day was to standby at Ryde.

H72P1 mobilised alongside crews from Ryde, Shanklin, East Cowes and Freshwater to a hay store and field well alight. Both were quickly prevented from spreading any further.
Owners digger used to turn over and damp down hay.

Today we have been out and about at several community events to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Lots of interaction with the local community, tours of the appliance, fire safety advice and a few chats with potential recruits. Also got our picture taken with HRH herself!
Tonight we celebrated 20 year of service for CM Young and CM Ward. They received their certificates and medals from GM Harden.
We also said goodbye to CM Young who was presented with his leaving certificate by GM Harrison and present from the crew by WM Orledge.
