A group of rugby fans had a memorable trip as they went to watch Leicester Tigers vs Bristol Bears.

Our students were also official flag bearers for the match where they formed a guard of honour as the teams emerged from the tunnel.

The English department at Cowley Academy arranged a fantastic trip for a lucky group of Year 8 students to visit 'The Making of Harry Potter' at the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London.

Our Year 9 students had an insight into what it would be like to go to prison, the penalties and consequences that would affect them for the rest of their life and importantly, how not to make the wrong choices by focusing on crime prevention.

Our Key Stage 3 students 9 were able to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 5 March 2026 by coming to school dressed as their favourite character from a book, which included many classics, young adults fiction, graphic novels and biographies.

For World Book Day, we welcomed Tana MacPherson-Smith as she kindly gave her time to speak to a class of Year 7 students by delivering a creative writing workshop, and also spoke to the whole of Year 9 about mental health in an assembly.
