Children, the moral of the story is that you shouldn’t speak ill of other people’s favorite because chances are, your favorite might be measured by the same yardstick you wield, and shamefully found wanting. That settles it then, I’m back to my old angelic peace-loving self. 😇🤣
WuLei having a very cordial chat with one of his onscreen mothers, the great Michelle Yeoh herself!
Yup! They worked together as mother and son when 15-yr-old WuLei reprised his original beloved mythical god character Nezha that launched his acting career when he was only 5 yrs old.
"The Legend of Nezha" follows the life of a young teen Nezha and the challenges and growth that he had to go through with his family. It was a 2016 star-studded live action film that was never released because the production company was rumored to have mismanaged the funds causing the film crew to not be paid the full amount that they have worked hard for.
I remember reading from past fans' recount of events saying that in the end Michelle Yeoh hugged and said goodbye to the young 15-yr-old WuLei encouraging him to keep working hard as an actor and to not be discouraged by setbacks along the way.
WuLei is only 26 yrs old now, but his 21 yrs of acting career in the cutthroat C-ent industry did not come on a silver platter. It was generously peppered with literal blood, sweat, and tears. And the fact that he remains very much loved and respected by the general public and his peers, as much as he is highly commended and recognized by the government itself, speaks volumes about his status as a young veteran actor known not only for his talent, professionalism, and tenacity, but also for his exemplary character.
And where the heck is it said that "every man should be strong" for it to be called a misplaced criticism?! They criticized "CERTAIN ACTORS" and NOT every man! Now, if you're so revolted against China's standards for men, then go to China and protest against it in front of NRTA and Xi for demanding such heavy burden for THEIR men!
I think it matters a lot to Dilireba when the men before WuLei satirically put the blame on her weight as to why they cudn't carry her. WuLei simply showed her that there ws no problem w her at all. The problem ws that those other men were weak.
A'ye strong, A'niang no worries🤭
@Justice04431339 This has alrdy been a foregone conclusion for many years now in CN n not me being "biased" as you say. Certain actors in that period were criticized greatly in CN because instead of strengthening themselves, they'd rather put the blame on already thin co-stars for not dieting.🤷
@YangCottonCandy That's so true. Personally, if I were her, what would've ticked me off was the fact that they acted so exaggeratedly about the whole carrying thing that it was like a non-verbal body shaming. Women openly speaking about such issues in a culture like theirs is really brave.
@YangCottonCandy Exactly! It's really disappointing when we just want to enjoy WuLei content to recharge yet our tl is full of unwarranted crap! *Smh 🙂↔️
(⚠️ TMI! Not for the braindead. Only for those who have the interest and mental capacity to comprehend "long ass essays" 🤭)
Literally me, living my Takeshi-Kaneshiro-inspired peaceful life and happily harvesting my in-season organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers from my garden, waiting for WuLei's films and drama to be released, when out of nowhere our LeiLei who does nothing his whole life but mind his business, work hard, and be a good person, suddenly got dragged again into someone else's controversy! How insane is that?!
Do people expect us to idly sit around with huge smiles on our faces while our fave, the source of happiness for many of us, is again getting trampled on, slandered, discredited, mocked, and humiliated for something he is totally not a part of? I've lain low for months reassured and satisfied that today's LeiLei who has retained a law firm which actively advocates for his interests, and has an energized team that shuts down rumors in the speed of light is very well-protected. But these false narratives encroaching once again into international Cdrama stan twt with droves of braindead zombies ganging up on him just gave me war flashbacks from the time when I first joined the fandom in 2021. And what do we have this time? A racist foundational general for goodness sake!
And just like that, my defense-protective mode was reactivated! Evidence-based argumentation whether explicit or implicit is something that is ingrained in my DNA. For years, I have challenged hundreds of university students who passed through the doors of my classroom in the Socratic method of questioning and stringent well-documented research paper writing. I raised my four children in the same method of logical thinking and in the ways of deconstructing narratives in order to arrive at the truth.
Cdrama stan twt is full of liars who irresponsibly and deliberately post lies that appear as truths simply because they've been hearted a thousand times over by their brainless mob of sympathizers and followers. They're just fooling themselves. I'm this age to say that nothing that is built on lies lasts long. They eventually fade and are reduced to nostalgia and glorification of a sad fabricated past.
But what do I care about? I don't care what other people or fandoms say or do, or whether they tell lies or not. Nor do I care if their fave/s become famous or not by honest or dishonest means. They do them. I do me. What I care about is when they cross the line and invade our turf-- the Leimis' safe space-- unprovoked! I care when out of the blue they drag WuLei into controversies he totally has nothing to do with! I care when they promote toxic RPS (real people shipping), which is a form of a lie, to validate their own vicarious delusional fantasies while stepping on and degrading WuLei. I care when people deprecate and belittle WuLei while using him as a tool to create a false illusion that their fave/s are superior.
It's rather simple. Leave WuLei alone! Leave Leimis alone! We are a small peaceful fandom here on twt composed of people of different ages across different generations and nationalities who carved out a niche for ourselves. We don't bother anyone. We are not fame diggers nor clout chasers. We simply are a happy group of people who share, gush, and promote our fave, our pride, WuLei. We are not in competition with anyone because we are confident in our LeiLei's achievements and with the wonderful person he has become both as an actor and a human being. You genuinely share our love and delight without ulterior motives, you're welcome to fangirl with us. You don't like him, you go your way in peace. No one is forcing you to like him.
You see, it's not that hard to leave us in peace. But for some twisted reason people chose to provoke us. Trampling on WuLei is clearly a choice and not an unavoidable circumstance. Therefore, if we defend LeiLei and give you a painful evidence-based beating, know that you have been forewarned.
@erleixiao I tried to see if it was someone who could hold a logical argument, and as expected, another disappointment. Lol🤣 And it's always the likes of her that come in droves like a mob of braindead zombies! ☠️
In what planet does #WuLei donning a wig for a theatre play arranged by professors at THE Beijing Film Academy (where he was a top student btw) as part of the students' completion of course requirements make him racist??? The stupidity and ignorance of fans truly reflect their fave's!
Here is a complete vlog of WuLei showing him at work and at school, and that one of the many times he's worn a wig for a theatre play!

Tysm for posting this! I was still debating whether to spoil a little or not about #TheSword, but this is truly necessary to avoid ppl from forming misconceptions against #WuLei and the drama plot itself. Chen Ping'an fought with all he had against all odds despite having the lowest cultivation and a broken bridge to immortality. Ning Yao was slowly forming respect for him because how can this crazy poor illiterate orphan with very crude martial arts foundation keep fighting with all he had and with so much intensity? What he lacks in strength and skill, Chen Ping'an makes up for in pure unadulterated courage while keeping faith that with integrity, kindness, and dedication, he will eventually rise above his circumstance.
chen ping’an was both exhausted and injured after the fight. ningyao carrying him is story-driven, not a gimmick to follow the ‘FL carries ML’ trend or to flip the script, as you’re claiming
