@henrywinter That’s a bit harsh I think. Ben White has been a consistent class act for Arsenal in that time. Whatever happened with him and the coaching staff is between them and there is a new coaching staff now.
Having said that, Trent is an unbelievable talent and should be involved.
@timstillman_ Hate to feed into narrative, and to point out the obvious, but if this was the FA Cup final, there is no way in hell that Kepa starts. I also think there would have been some different selection decisions also.
@clivepafc I respect the positivity, but, with respect, I don’t think we should be waiting for cup finals to learn our lessons. The signs have been there for a while.
@timstillman_ Completely agree - but so does the manager. Lots of injuries today, yes, but a few players showed us whether they are capable of handling the big moments.
@afcDW I really think we have lost so much going forward by having him in the team. MLS was sensational last season and we have missed his ball carrying and drive. I can’t wrap my head around what Hincapie does better than not just Cala or MLS, but even Tierney who we sold.
@DarrenArsenal1 Also, the team need courage in their convictions. When city weren’t buying it, they either just waited or tried to play at the back anyway. Eventually running into pressure and smashing it forward anyway, usually to a blue shirt.
@HarrySymeou The team were really bad. Nobody stepped up, they looked unhealthy, we were slow to react, and our left side has been vulnerable before. Calafiori injected some energy, but you can’t rely on substitute left backs to be your attacking Ace card all the time.
@scoutingindoors We have to get more players healthy. Missed too many big names today, and even the ones that played, I worry that they aren’t 100% (Saka, Rice, White, Trossard).
@LeGrove The other team played their back up too. The fact is, he made a mistake. But both goals came from our left side, there is an issue there. Also, the amount of time City had the ball needs to be looked at. Why wasn’t rice breaking up play? Why wasn’t Saka doing more as a 3rd mid?
@GoonerViews Genuine question, when was the last time we saw Saka sprinting? Honestly he looks like he is in the last minute of extra time wearing concrete boots recently.
@_PhilCosta It looks like City are all out attack from their line up. Makes me worry about the lack of pace in the team. My hope is that Havertz and Gyokeres to target and bully Kusanov. We also need a big day from Saka too.
@Rory_Talks_Ball He has massively overachieved with that team in the past. The squad, quite simply, is not at the top level. He deserves a chance after a proper transfer window.
